I initially booked into room 148 but it was a double l should have booked a twin room for my niece and myself Danielle was doing my check in she was pleasant polite and professional when l requested a twin room she allocated us room 118 without any trouble she was very helpful nothing was too much trouble having staff like Danielle makes such a difference to the guests having a pleasant stay thank you so much you were much appreciated.

“Perfect Hotel for visiting Glasgow”

We really liked this Hotel the Lady who checked us in was lovely, the premier plus room was clean and modern with a very comfy bed. Restaurant experience was also very good.

Perfectly located hotel for anyone attending an event at the OVO Hydro. The hotel is well presented and the on-site parking is extremely convenient. Staff are very welcoming and the dining experience is always pleasant at the hotel. Rooms are tidy and always make for a good nights sleep.

We stayed here for the Dermot Kennedy concert at the Hydro. The good bits - the location of this hotel is excellent if you’re attending an event at the OVO Hydro. It is a 2-3 minute walk from the venue. There is a sizeable car park and parking is discounted for hotel guests. We paid £9.50 for 24 hours. The bed was extremely comfortable and extra pillows were provided in the room. We both slept well as a result. Check in was smooth and we were helped by an exceptionally friendly and helpful female member of staff. The not so good bits - we encountered multiple staff members walking around the hotel on their mobile phones. One female staff member was having a conversation with someone that was obviously not a work related call. Another male staff member shared the lift with us as he moved between floors and had his head down in his mobile phone the whole time. I work in customer service and we do not use our phones at work, and certainly not when customers are present. This is something that’s becoming prevalent in so many areas of customer service but it was particularly notable during this stay. We paid for breakfast with our room. There was a lot of choice but the cooked breakfast was luke warm at best. Maybe the nature of a buffet style breakfast makes this difficult to manage but it was not worth the money. The staff working in this area were more attentive and not otherwise occupied by their phones. Overall, at £190 for the night with breakfast, this is not a cheap place to stay and therefore I think it’s not unreasonable to expect a better standard from staff members and the breakfast offering. It is likely the price simply reflects the location and the captive audience they have as a result.
