Super nice service from the staff (Giovanni Daleno)! A parcel i had ordered arrived after my departure and Giovanni organised kindly for it to be mailed to a friend free of charge - really appreciated!!

I can't say I'm surprised by the number of stellar reviews this hotel has received. I'm going to add another one. I couldn't fault it, beginning to end. The staff, under the kind, generous, and professional leadership of Giovanni, were quiet, friendly, and efficient. The hotel amenities (in the Premier Plus Room 503) were ideal: key dock by the door so you don't lose it, and it controls access to all the lights; lighting superb - so many options; carefully and logically placed mirrors; excellent hair dryer; superior iron and ironing board; very spacious bathroom; easily operated shower; very large and absorbent towels; no nasty smells of cleaning products; everything was spotlessly clean; huge, very comfortable bed; selection of pillow densities - soft or firm; mini-fridge; Nespresso machine with real milk and two strengths of coffee; proper kettle; good sized mugs and glasses; room tastefully decorated; room is clean-on-request; excellent breakfast is available for a reasonable price; stunning view over the city; window has full-length black-out curtains so the room is very dark, even in summer; wonderful air conditioning (it was 34 degrees outside!); my room was so quiet, even when the hotel was at capacity! As noted by others, the location is excellent. There are buses nearby on Islington Green that go hither and yon, and Angel Station is only about 2 minutes walk away. There are shops of all sorts (including Marks and Spencers and Sainsbury's) within a few minutes walk, also many restaurants, including the superb Bellanger. The burrough has a wonderful cross-section of the human population, and lots of friendly dogs frequent Islington Green! Don't let the outside of the building put you off. You'd scarcely know there was a hotel there, but for a single sign. It's popular for a reason, though, so if you're thinking of visiting London in the next six months (or even a year!) book early to avoid disappointment. I know I will - I can hardly wait to stay there again!

We stayed at Angel Premier inn to see a production at Sadler's Wells. The location for that was perfect. We had 2 double rooms that were lovely. I booked the Meal Deal so breakfast & dinner would be straightforward. While breakfast was lovely, the dinner menu was limited & bland. We have all eaten in other Premier Inn restaurants & been happy with the selection /quality of the meals. Sunday evening burgers x 3 were borderline acceptable. It's hard to explain. The meals just lacked 'sparkle' (In a side note: there are so many other food options around the Angel area) The staff were very attentive & accommodating with my partner's GF requirements. This was both at dinner & breakfast. We would stay at the Angel Premier Inn again but have dinner elsewhere.
