Stayed for two nights in September with a group of eight friends.The views from the hotel and surrounding area are stunning, you can see for miles, including the Danube River. We were made really welcome by Werner and his charming family and had no complaints about the rooms whatsoever, some of the rooms have a balcony which is great for sitting looking out at the view. The food, particularly the breakfast, is really, really good and there is a patio to sit out on and relax watching the sun go down with a drink. Having stayed in numerous hotels around the world, the Gasthof Alpenblick is up there with the best.

We arrived here on bicycles as a result of a research error. The last 3 kms is a very steep climb. We arrived here on bicycles as a result of a research error. The last 3 kms is a very steep climb. The exertion was soon rewarded by a friendly greeting, a garage for the bicycles, cold beer, hot showers and outstanding views. Our room was spacious and comfortable. In spite of a large wedding in the hotel, dinner service was prompt (we weren't about to head back down the hill). Breakfast was ok, maybe a little light because there were few overnight guests to avoid complaints of wedding noise. There is an interesting church and graveyard next door. The church choir is very good if you happen to stay on Saturday night.
