We stayed here for one night having decided we didn't want to return to Salvador. As it was the week after new year, we were worried there would be nothing available. This place was available so we went and checked it out and it looked fine. Interestingly paying in person by cash was more expensive than via booking sites. The pousada has a decent breakfast and is in a good location, being close to the port but away from the noise of the main square. The room was bigger than the other pousadas we stayed at and it had a decent sized bathroom and good shower. All in all pretty good for the $$

Hotel is located in the center of the island close to everything, 8 minutes walking to the beach. The staff was very nice and the hotel manager was always happy to help and answer our questions. We showed up at Tia Gloria after a bad experience at another pousada in Morro de Sao Paulo and really enjoyed our stay there. We showed up at Tia Gloria after a bad experience at another pousada in Morro de Sao Paulo and really enjoyed our stay there. Their rooms are very clean and airy, the sheets are nice and crisp and the rooms have AC, a TV and wi-fi. Our room had a balcony that open to the main square and had a hammock, which we enjoyed. The breakfast is excellent and has a lot of variety. The staff is nice and helpful and the place is very, very clean throughout. The room rates are extremely reasonable! We highly recommend Tia Gloria!

“Good for the price and location”

We came to the island with no reservation and came upon this posado because of the ideal location in the square. It is has very basic accomodations with a breakfast included. We really liked the location the most, just steps right into the small square. The only issue we had was with a barking do... lisää

We came to the island with no reservation and came upon this posado because of the ideal location in the square. It is has very basic accomodations with a breakfast included. We really liked the location the most, just steps right into the small square. The only issue we had was with a barking dog at night, but we requested a room change and were put up in the front in a nicer room with a balcony. For $45/night, it is an ok value. I can see how this little island could fill up during a busy holiday and the choices are limited and the prices go up.
