The sightseen of Titicaca and Andes mountains at sunrise, as well at sunset, are simply spectacular. Crillon Tours, the owner of the facilities, is a very experienced tour operator, the best for a Titicaca Lake and islands tour. Accommodations at Posada del Inca are all you can expect from a world class ecolodge; cousy, comfortable at a high quality. Service is almost personalized and food has that special homemade taste. If you are about to visit this sacred lake, Posada del Inca is a must. If you are looking for spiritual mystic sites, Island of the Sun is the perfect place. Even if you are not planning none of them, you should come, it is a life time experience.

“Beautiful and Tranquil!”

What a perfect location and what a beautiful setting! So relaxing and so tranquil. Our rooms were very comfy and very warm, great heating, great electric blankets. We kept finding little places to chill in and the wifi worked well. Food was good and the staff so attentive. Just lovely!

The property itself is charming, and the views are incredible. The room is a quaint sort of cottage arrangement. It's not fancy, but it's ok. The gardens are well maintained and pleasant to sit in on a sunny day and admire the view down to the harbor and across to the Andes. There is wifi only in the central courtyard, not in the room. The electricity was reliable. The hot water took a while to get hot, but it was very hot and plentiful once it arrived. The downside, and it's a signicant one clients need to fully understand, is that the hotel is a HARD CLIMB of a minimum of 50 minutes up the hill side from the harbor to the property. It took my friend and myself almost 90 minutes to make the walk because she had to stop repeatedly to catch her breath. The path is very rough and rocky, and there is not much shade and the sun is intense. You CANNOT BRING A STANDARD SIZED SUITCASE -- ONLY A BACK PACK. They do have a staff member who will carry your back pack for you, or you can hire a local to put it on the back of a llama in a saddle bag and you will find it when you arrive at the top. So you have to decide if you are fit enough to make the long climb. Once you get to the top, the views are indeed very impressive. There is a small restaurant with a single menu for each meal. It was basic but adequate.

A mixed experience about this lodge on Lake Titicaca. The lodge itself very nice and cute up in the village with a stunning view on the lake ( not from the rooms though) The extreme feeling of relaxation and peace of mind that the garden, the village and the sounds of nature and animals we rarely hear nowadays are great!! Breakfast and dinner are basic but OK. The totally negative point of the experience is that the island is car-free and to reach your hotel, you have to walk and climb stairs for more than 50 minutes. This is still part of the adventure especially that you are helped with your luggage; this is still acceptable but, at an altitude of 4’000 meters, the lack of oxygen can turn out to be a nightmare. The real nightmare continues at night where one gets the horrible feeling of lacking air for long hours and experiencing something terrible. Of course, we are all aware of the unpleasant feelings due to high altitude but the hotel should be more careful to inform guests of what to do during the night, whom to address to in case of emergency ( no phones in the rooms). The experience of suffocating was a real nightmare
