Love this hotel and we go every year.This hotel surpassed itself this year with a fabulous room,very clean.The staff are lovely from cleaning staff to bar staff and reception staff,couldn’t fault anyone.The food was really good loads of choice. We will be going back next as for location it’s brilliant. One point they just started using bands for drink you too it up at reception and there were queues and I think they need more than one on the bar at busy times.Apart from that lovely.

Food not great, no extra pillows, no towels for pool area which is just as well they charge £3.50 per person per day for use of towel, booked family room with 2 double beds got double and put up bed they said no other room available, would not book this hotel again or recommend . “Loved Benalmadena but wouldn’t choose this hotel again”

Nice clean hotel, rooms had no English channels on tv, no tea and coffee facilities and very ordinary, nothing to suggest a 4 star accommodation. Nice clean hotel, rooms had no English channels on tv, no tea and coffee facilities and very ordinary, nothing to suggest a 4 star accommodation. The Food in the hotel was not very good and although we paid half board we only ate once in the hotel due to the poor quality of the food, the waiting staff work very hard . breakfast was ok. Building works going on opposite creating lots of noise although this is not the fault of the hotel. We did like the area with lots of bars and restaurants so I would recommend not taking up the hotel food.

Just back from a weeks stay at the Hotel Palmasol. For the money we paid it was ok, however we would not return due to the quality and temperature of the food (we ate out 2 nights as the food was not great). Positives - the inside of the hotel was very clean. We had a lovely room with plenty of plug sockets and even a couple of USB points. There was also a fridge in the room which was handy for keeping drinks cold and storing our lunch. The reception staff were helpful, the bar and restaurant staff friendly and extremely hardworking. We did have a problem with a bad smell at times in the bathroom, they always sent someone to deal with it (we did not ask to move). Negatives - we used the inside pool, however had to be very careful where we put our towels as there were hundreds of ants around the indoor pool area. While the outside pool was clean, the area around the pool with the sun beds did not appear to be cleaned on a daily basis, (looking at the amount of things on the floor under the sun beds), unlike other hotels we have stayed out. There were also a lot of ants here. Likewise the outside seating area never seemed that clean either. There was always a lack of staff at the bar, I don’t go on holiday to queue for drinks - normally hotels have staff that serve you at the table but not here. On a positive note they made excellent cocktails. The breakfast selection was the same everyday, though not much of a problem as plenty of choice for breakfast. However, often the pancakes ran out and the chef was unable to keep up with the cooking and replenishing of them. One day we went to breakfast slightly later at 9am (breakfast is from 8-11am) and the waiters on duty were struggling to clear away and reset the tables, in addition they had run out of cups & saucers so people had a long wait to be able to get a hot drink. In the evening the waiters also struggled with clearing places and getting drinks. The food in the evening was only of an ok standard. The pasta in particular was always cold. There was always a freshly cooked meat each night - chicken, pork loin, fish, chicken, turkey for the 5 evenings we had meals there. The desserts though were always good. For the quality of the hotel I would have expected better food - the food at this hotel was not of the quality we normally expect for a hotel of this standard.
