Clean, neat, tidy, very lush garden grounds, the rooms are immaculately clean but are a little banged up and tired, a chipped floor tile here and there, It is INCREDIBLY QUIET !!! Slightly off the main drag of Kuta, about 150 m via a lane way to the beach and about 2 minute walk to Lippo mall. The free breakfast is ultra basic, eggs any way plus toast ( ask for extra extra extra brown toast) or nasi goreng and serve yourself bottomless tea and coffee. Rooms have a kettle, no supplies. Soap and shampoo are diluted and ordinary so BYO. Towels and sheets are fresh every day, not remade. Air con is good. The restaurant has great food at prices comparable to battling outdoors for a meal. Staff are incredibly friendly. During my visit in June 2022 a whole third wing was being modernised and renovated while the tourist trade is quiet due to COVID. The pool is deep, large and immaculately clean. Overall it is a very good 3 star, nearly a 4 star, cheap, clean, tidy and friendly but a little tired in parts so it pretty much sums up Bali in a nutshell............. Masks were worn by all staff 24/7 Hand sanitiser was commonly available.

I stayed for a week right now. I booked it because AAdvantage had a super rate with LPs which was still 3x the regular room rate but a fantastic value for AA Miles. My four star rating is for the value received, not for the category of a western 4 star hotel.Their regular price of around 35$ is really cheap but you get what you pay for. First of all the whole complex is in dire need of renovation. Painting and tiling at least. There are no elevators so it’s a lot of stairs for this tropical climate. The A/C practically just works from the entrance door to half of the remaining room. You get water and a kettle (takes like 7 minutes to heat up 400ml of water,not kidding) but not even one sad package of instant coffee. They advised me to buy it at the supermarket. Well. Apart from this ,people ,staff of the hotel were genuinely friendly and proactive. I got an upgrade to a deluxe room which looked exactly like the superior room except for the canopied bed. And it had no bath tub.Well…. Breakfast crew and reception staff really nice and helpful. Don’t take a room with a connection door as this is exactly what it says: 1 door in between the rooms. You can hear anything (eeewww) going on in the adjacent room. The other guests were mostly friendly elderly couples from Holland that either stayed there since 1582 or do just 6 months long stays. The breakfast was not very exciting but for their regular price of 400K you can’t really ask for much. The pool looks nice and cozy although I never used it. Cleaning staff was always very friendly and helpful. Doing a good and tough job. Recommended if you are after miles or on a budget. It’s around 20 minutes walking from the airport. A taxi isn’t necessary, so don’t get ripped off by the taxi mafia. The price shoukd be maximum 100.000rps or 7$. Even that is already too much. Outside is a beach restaurant and already the beach walk . Not very clean beaches unfortunately. Kutsche has the dirtiest beaches I have ever seen in Asia. Not the hotel’s fault but just good to know! The whole island is far too greedy and mass-touristy for my likes but ok. Hope this review was helpful. Greetings

“Great for surfers , no disabled access to pool”

Standard room , basic , two pillows, tired mattress, one bedside cabinet. No mattress cover so bedsheet moves all night. Standard room , basic , two pillows, tired mattress, one bedside cabinet. No mattress cover so bedsheet moves all night. One power outlet , below TV so you need an extension lead fromm Shopee app, one outlet in toiletfor hairdryer. As previously reviews the bathroom drain smelled and required bathroom light and fan to stay on continuously. WiFi was intermittent even though aerial was directly opposite room. TV had plenty of English channels and 3 movies and clear picture. The 400 block of rooms have the laundry and workspace for staff behind them so a bit of noise, Pool is excellent, deep and has child pool with waterfall, 24 sun beds, lots of vegetation to hide under , Breakfast is basic, Evening meals are better. Next to Lipo mall so everything there, including cinema. Rest of kuta is within walking distance. 2nd or 3rd floor is a must( 1st floor=ground) if you are prone to mosquito
