I stayed at this hotel last week solo in room 116. I picked this hotel originally as it's at the seafront/harbour so easier to pop out through the gate etc rather than trekking up the hills and glad I did! I had a sea view room which was nice, it is overlooking the bar/restaurant, rather than the pool. Definitely glad i went for the sea view room. The following was provided in the hotel so don't bother packing them: Pool towels, shower etc towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, handwash, body lotion, toothbrush, shower cap, sewing kit, tissues, a shaver. You get a bottle of water every day complementary. There is a mini bar in your room which is restocked each day - prices are reasonable really (EUR2.50 or so per item). Bed is comfy, lots of pillows which is nice. TV has BBC, the radio etc. About 5 hangers in each wardrobe. You get given a wristband on day 1, then wear this to pay for drinks then pay your tab at reception when you check out (or can do this daily I think). Bar drinks are reasonably priced. I had a mojito daily, ice creams, shandy etc, stuff out the mini bar and my bill was only 81EUR when i checked out (a week stay)- not too bad! Cocktails are around 7EUR. There is a mini clothes airer on the balcony (around 5 items) and also a low table and chairs. If possible try to get the sea view front rooms as they get sun on them on the 2nd floor! I definitely recommend sea view rooms even if its on other floors though. Floors 3-7 have smaller balconies, but better views as you go upwards. Floor 1 balconies are quite big, but pool side the sun doesn't reach them very well (which is why 2nd is best!) Floor 8 looks like a good floor to stay on, which is the top floor. Also it's where the rooftop chill out area is with sunbeds etc, less sound up there. The pool has aqua aerobics and various other pool fitness sessions you can take part in if you want to, but not too many - 1 or 2 a day max. Sunbed wise... the guards basically kick you off your bed if you put towels down but then don't return within a certain period of time - this stops those morning bed hoggers so much appreciated! This is the RIGHT thing to do! If you do get a sunbed then for morning sun you need to be located on the bar side, for afternoon sun best to be located on the opposite side. Evening entertainment is provided for a couple of hours each night in the bar, generally sounds quite good. Food in the hotel is really nice, as standard every night you can ask for pasta or stirfries etc of your choice the chefs make it in front of you, then there's loads of food selections to pick from. Then usually do like "meals of the day" and alternate these from the chefs - you pick meat etc. Breakfast is full variety of fruit/breads/yoghurts/fry ups/omelette bar etc. The only thing i would say but i don't think it can be helped really - it can get quite loud early morning / late at night, both within the hotel and from the horns of the ships etc at certain points of the day. Also people tend to slam their doors and move furniture around and you can hear it. If you are a light sleeper and wish to have lay ins and go to bed early, then you might need some ear plugs. As I was located near the lifts/stairs I listened to a lot of conversations late at night etc. If I was to go again, I would use the taxi rank right outside the hotel rather than hotel transfers by the company you go with (I used Love Holidays) if given the choice when booking. It saves you lots of time, and there isn't much money in it. All the staff are really nice, didn't have any issues with them etc - all very helpful etc. Keep up the good work guys!

From the moment we stepped into the hotel we have been so pleased we chose this hotel. The reception staff are really friendly and helpful. Our room was a standard with balcony overlooking the back of the hotel. It has everything you need from bathrobes and slippers, large bottles of hand wash, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and hairdryer. A coffee machine with pods, milks and bottles of fresh water provided every day. The air-conditioning is great and the houkeeping staff come in every day to clean and replenish towels. We went half board and there was plenty of choice and food was fresh and really well presented at the buffer restaurant, you can sit outside or inside. All the staff work hard, are extremely well presented and very friendly all working together to make sure you have a perfect holiday, we witnessed staff praising snd hugging each other. The hotels rear entrance leads to the strip by the beach, having a perfect location with bus station 10 mins walk away. It was my birthday when we arrived and the following day after we had been out for the day we came back to a bottle of Cava and a cake. We will be back. Last visited H10 Big Sur in September 2023. On this occasion I was a solo traveller. Check in was faultless, I received a glass of cava with juice, a lovely treat. I was checked in by Daniel who fully explained the cashless system, a band on your wrist which is also your door key. Daniel asked if I wanted to use the safe, he explained this incurred an 18 euro weekly charge. This is a new charge, we didn't pay for use of the safe in September 2023. I believe this is a backward step and the price SHOULD be included in the cost of the room. I hope after reading several comments regarding this the hotel decide to revert back to a 'free use of the safe.'. After previously having a sea view room, I was more than happy to pay for the upgrade. The sea view rooms are well worth it in my opinion (budget allowing). Every morning I sat and had a coffee in the dressing gown provided and watched all the early dog walkers, exercisers etc. The coffee is via the Nespresso machine, 4 coffee pods provided daily along with a bottled water. Stayed previously on floor 5 and requested to be allocated the same floor, if possible, I was very happy to have been allocated the same floor. Restaurant - I like to eat outside and never had a long wait to eat outside at breakfast / evening meal. I chose to be in the restaurant for breakfast by about 8.30 (breakfast is on till 10am) I found if I went any later the restaurant got very busy. The selection at breakfast is vast ... from cereals, to full cooked breakfasts, omelettes made to order, toast, continental selection. As in most restaurants the toaster takes two passes for it to colour the toast. The lady that checks you in the restaurant in the evening, sorry I've forgotten her name, she's Cuban ... she was so lovely and always welcomed you into the restaurant. Food - I always found something to eat, some nights were better than others. The salad bar was popular and needed to be replenished more often as sometimes there were empty dishes which reduced choice. Staff need to constantly be checking if there are plates available, on some occasions there were no plates, which shouldn't happen. The Pool - The hotel states that you can access the sunbeds from 9.30 ... this doesn't stop people queuing at 8.45 hoping to secure a particular bed in a certain location. As the days passed by this became a problem and I watched it all unfold from the balcony. On two days running, people decided to go under the chain, like limbo dancers prior to the chain being removed to place towels, books etc on the beds. Didn't experience this last September and it's a shame if this is how people want to act. Thankfully the pool attendant / lifeguard started to place cards on peoples beds that hadn't been used for an hour, he then removed their towels and belongings, this is fair to all. There are lots of parasols to go around, unless people start using two per two beds. Entertainment - There were pool activities a few days of the week, not many took up this offer. Which leads me onto the evening entertainment. There is entertainment in the bar area every evening, which is on is advertised on the social board. Tuesday - Thursday the entertainment was great. Lots got up and had a dance. Friday - Sunday not so much. Two consecutive nights there were saxophonists. I believe Friday - Sunday these would have been the more expensive nights to pay for entertainers to come into the hotel. My personal opinion is that maybe not have as much pool activities and pay more for better entertainment. Entertainment is usually on for about an hour to an hour and a half, if this could be extended to 2 hours, more people would stay in the bar and more revenue for the hotel. Room - The room is modern and kept clean and tidy by the housekeepers. One housekeeper of note was Sonja ... she was always so friendly and left the room spotless. The beds are super comfy, with a selection of 3 pillows to suit everyone's choice. There is a large walk in shower - shampoo, conditioner and body lotion are provided in the bathroom. Also there are other complimentary items provided. I tipped the housekeeper daily, so the housekeeper cleaning on the day received the tip, rather than leaving the tip to the end of the week, which is fair. Would I Go Back - YES, hopefully booking to go again in September. I found the hotel staff, both pleasant and helpful. The groundsmen were always tending to the borders and keeping the pool area clean. WELL DONE H10 SUR

“All good but no uk tv”

The hotel well located and the meals are very good, service is excellent. Generally a really good hotel but if you like watching UK tv you will be disappointed as none of the channels are working very well. Coffee and free water are provided daily and the rooms are maintained to a high standard
