We stayed here in March and had a great time. Although on the small side the rooms were well kept, clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had chosen to go for a room with a balcony and we had a full sea view. The rooms do not have tea and coffee making facilities but they do have a small fridge. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful, from the cleaning staff to the restaurant staff and the bar staff, especially Franny and Cristian. The restaurant staff were very helpful too. The hotel is in the Old Town and only a couple of minutes’ walk away from the beach. I would recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to return.

Stayed 27/4/24-4/5. First time at this hotel and stayed all inclusive. Traveled by taxi and was dropped off at the top of a pedestrian only area, at, the Avenida De Ruzafa where there is a Taxi rank and about 5-10 mins walk from the hotel. Arrived about 13.30 and checked in at a small reception area. This only took about 10 mins as it was not busy. Incidentally, as I booked direct with the hotel, it was pay on arrival. After given the usual basic hotel info and directions to my room via the lifts, I then joined a couple of people waiting, which took ages as the (2) lifts were slow and small, with a 4 persons limit which, really would only be 2 plus luggage in reality. For someone in a wheelchair it might be a tight squeeze. I was lucky as my room was on the 1st floor. The room was very clean and reasonably large with a double bed, plenty of wardrobe hangers,storage space,safe, small fridge flat screen tv. The tv was positioned a bit high up, this was because there was a once connecting door which was now the luggage storage facility. The bathroom had a twin headed shower which had good pressure and good hot water, with plenty of shower gel, the wash basin had some nice complimentary accessories,also a hairdryer. Leading off from the bedroom was a large balcony with a table and 2 chairs. This was overlooking the pedestrianised crossroad area. This was ideal for people watching (and I saw some sights). However, it should be noted that there was a school for 6-16yo which the senior pupils seemed to gather right outside my window at about 07.40 and were noisy until 08.00, (alright I was young once) the other thing I should mention, which I didn't notice till the 1st May was about 02.45 the bin men briefly came as well as the street washer,and they were noisy. Now for me, the Bar and Restaurant were only a short walk down stairs,which given how slow the lifts were, was a blessing. As for the bar, it was fairly small but was well stocked with branded drinks, 1 Estrella and 1 Old English cider pump. The service was very good. The bar was situated in a well appointed lounge/entertainment area,although, depending where you were seated, the small stage area could be obstructed by pillars. There was also a small dance area. Onto the restaurant it had plenty of seating with tables for 2,4,8 persons (thou this could be adjusted) they were clean with plate cloth,cutlery,napkin a drinks glass. The food was varied, although maybe a bit repetitive, having said that I personally had no trouble at not being too repetitive. It was of a good quality,fresh and warm to hot(depending on the timing) there was a microwave, but, I never saw anyone use it. The food was constantly topped up. Yes the staff did clear the tables quickly but not as though they were rushing you. If I had a slight problem, it was the first time of using the restaurant, I was asked what drink I would like, but was not asked again till two days later,I expect if I had asked I could have got a drink. Overall the restaurant was very clean. Now, there was an information area with hotel events and also a separate area were the Reps use with more info. You had to go to the 6th floor to reach a well equipped Gym and a sauna, small lounge and bar (which was not open when I was there even though it was indicated it would be as from 1st May). Up a few steps was the rooftop small pool with sun loungers,then still on the rooftop down some steps to another sun terrace. Now I think you had to be quick to get a lounger as they were all taken up. The views were brilliant and worth the effort of the slow lifts. Now, the negative was you had to go back down to the bar on the 1st floor for drinks as the top bar was shut. Overall this Hotel was in an excellent position close to all amenities, 5-10 mins walk to a beautiful beach 20 mins plus walk to the strip. Very clean Hotel, friendly staff from reception to cleaners and anyone in-between. Its mainly for adults only. Would I use this hotel again Yes TIPS: Get a balcony room, get one on the 1st or 2nd floor.

Avenida Hotel - Old Town Benidorm - Review We arrived at the hotel around 10pm. The reception staff were lovely and very friendly. They booked us into our rooms, 2 twins for 4 ladies and gave us maps and information for the local area and details of the all inclusive meal and bar times. They had also made us a cold buffet up in the dinning room as we had missed our evening meal which we thought was a lovely touch. Rooms: Our rooms were basic but very clean and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned every day, we even had shower products and hand wash provided in the bathrooms which we didnt expect in a 2 star rated hotel. Food: We stayed on an all Inclusive basis. The dining room is small and cosy with a fantastic choice of daily dishes. Breakfast was always a choice of cereals, toast, fresh fruits and juices as well as bacon, sausage, eggs and fresh made to order omlettes. There are even bottles of chilled prosecco to make morning mimosas. lunches and evening meals were usually a choice of 2 soups, a full salad bar, cheeses, cold fish options, pastas or paella. The hot selection had steak, pork chops, chips, roasted vegetables and lots of extra side dishes. We really couldnt fault the food. Location: The Avenida is in the Old Town. The reception opens out right in the middle of a fab shopping area. There are so many bars, coffee shops, Gifts shops as well as pharmacies, tobaconists and even a spec savers, which came in really handy as one of our ladies needed a hearing aid replacement battery. Its less than a 2 minute walk to the beach front where again you are spoilt for choice for bars and eateries. You can walk along the beach front right down to the new town. Its all lit up in the evening and kept very clean. The whole beach is cleaned and sieved by tractors at night as well as the pavement areas jet washed ready for the next day. If you prefer a self catering or room only holiday, the local cafes and bars are very reasonable serving full English Breakfasts for around 15 euros including a brew or beer. Entertainment: The hotel also has an entertainment programe. We saw line dancing lessons, darts competitions, Bingo and Kareoke, a piano vocalist on 3 nights, and acrobatic team 1 evening. Most of the other guests were Spanish so just be aware that the entertainment does reflect this. The bar team were also really friendly. There is a really good choice of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails included in the all inclusive deal. We spent 1 evening on 'The Benidorm Strip' The atmostsphere in Morgans bar and Neptunes was fabulous but very very busy. This is definately the palce for party animals and we appreciated our quieter hotel position late at night. As a Benidorm newbie, I really enjoyed our little 4 day break. The locals are really friendly, there is plenty to see and do. Its not all bars and parties, there are some lovely cultural spots to see, as well as lots of quirky little streets and alleys to explore in the Old Town. If you do visit, make sure you spend a few hours at El Castell De Benidorm. Its such a beautiful spot to enjoy a beer and icecream. Thank you Avenida for a lovely stay, we will be back :-)

“Nice but noisy”

It was a nice hotel, most of the staff were very friendly, especially the reception staff and front of house staff in the dining room. The food was very nice, and the food that was supposed to be warm, was. The room itself was basic and needed some up grading, never enough coat hangers for 2 people, and had to buy some while we were there. The bed was lovely and comfortable, but unfortunately the pillows were flat, which felt as though we were sleeping on no pillows. The hotel is well centred in the old town, our room was on the third floor overlooking the busy st, which is great throughout the day, but at night it was dreadful after midnight, all night we got loud mouthed drunks making their way back to wherever they were staying, banging on the corrugated iron shutters of the shops, it didn't help that the road cleaning with a big noisy wagon came at 3am , the noise outside throughout the night was horrendous to say the least, I had to buy ear plugs which didn't make much difference. I have to say the hotel itself was very quiet. So in all a nice hotel but too noisy throughout the night.
