I stayed 2 weeks at Tanjung Mas and was very happy with my choice. Most of the time I was solo, but had a friend share 4 nights in the spacious twin room. This place was just right for my needs! Excellent location; close to lots of great restaurants, a Circle K across the road, Coco Supermarket a 5 min walk, Yoga Barn a 5 min walk, great laundry across the road also. The resort is set in beautiful, peaceful grounds with 2 pools. It's set back from the road and amazingly quiet. Every day fresh flowers and Balinese offerings are placed around which is so lovely. My room was an upstairs corner room with a nice outlook over the back pool. Basic but very clean, serviced every day. Breakfast is simple but really nice. Loved the fresh fruit and juices. I enjoyed good massages at a reasonable price in the massage room on site. The best thing at Tanjung Mas is the staff; everyone was so friendly and helpful. A great place for a solo stay. Overall Tanjung Mas provided basic but comfortable accomodation in a lovely setting and great location, at an affordable price. Recommended! Thank you Tanjung Mas

We stayed here for 3 nights at the start of our holiday to Bali to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. Great value for money, beautiful gardens and wonderful service from the staff. On the morning of his birthday, a number of staff members arrived with our breakfast and a cake and sang Happy Birthday to him. Very special and appreciated. Location is central and close to restaurants and shopping areas. Though it is in the heart of Ubud, it's like a quiet oasis tucked away from hustle and bustle. Would definitely return.

I've stayed in Ubud about 5 times, always at different hotels. This one was okay, but I think you can find better value (such as Greenfield which is directly across the street). I've stayed in Ubud about 5 times, always at different hotels. This one was okay, but I think you can find better value (such as Greenfield which is directly across the street). The good: The location is very good and it's not noisy at all. The rooms are nice although definitely 3 star. I did enjoy the bathtub and the balcony though ;) The less good: I booked the deluxe room, which was large, but comically large with lots of wasted space - who needs a 10 foot empty bathroom? The facilities were nice, but I could still see lots of people and staff walking around, didn't feel like "nature". There were only 3 TV channels and I ended up watching Indonesian soap operas. I think for me the absolutely horrible breakfast. It was so so disappointing. Portions are small and very very bland. I've been at hotels in Ubud in the same price range with breakfasts to die for. For me, this disappointing breakfast sealed the deal that I wont be staying here again. Finally - for hotel staff - Deluxe Room 2 door does not even close properly. There is a big gap where insects can get in, and anyone could break into the room if they tried. I've added a photo. I would certainly have this fixed.
