spent three nights at Newstead Guest house being looked after by June and Ross. Nothing seemed to be any trouble to them both. My room was at the rear of the property so was very quiet and very clean. Comfy bed and plenty of tea/coffee in the room. The dining room is set out in keeping with the rest of the property in an oldy worldy style but in very nice taste. The breakfasts were plentyfull and the cooked selection was always served hot, fresh and very tasty by June who always found time for a quick chat. The location is ideal for the southern lakes as a five minute walk uphill gets you into Windermere town or ten minutes downhill takes you into Bowness town with its fine selection of restaurants/cafes or pubs.

the place is 10 mins walk from windermere station in the middle way to the lake , the room is clean comfy bed , be careful not to bring food from outside if you did be careful not to make any stains you will pay for that , the owners are nice polite people , really a good value for money

Just returned from the Newstead Guest House, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Location - 5minute walk up to Windermere and a 15-20minute walk down to Bowness. Restaurants shops can be found in both. Parking is located at the rear of the house. Cleanliness - the hotel was kept very clean and our rooms cleaned everyday at 12. Breakfast was served from 8:30 - 9:15 and was lovely cooked if you wanted or the continental if desired. The cooked was lovely. Overall a lovely base in which to explore the area. Good value good service, unfortunately the same could not be said about the weather.
