“Best location, amenities, and value in Treasure Beach”

We had a fantastic week at Marblue Villa. We had 2 connecting suites, the Banana Water suite with its own plunge pool and kitchenette, and the Papaya suite next door, booked through Airbnb. It was a great value for the amount of space: 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms plus the sitting areas and verandas. Each bedroom has an A/C unit, which is an extra charge per room if you use it, to cover the high cost of electricity, but we prefer to sleep cool so it was great to have the option. (Note that they only take cash or PayPal for the A/C charge.) We thought this was a fantastic location: the beach to the east has a great swimming cove at the far end (in front of Seaweed Villa); Jake's and other restaurants are about 10 minutes walk to the west, across Calabash beach. Bring flashlights for walking at night. There are also a few places to eat closer: at Kingfisher Plaza is Gold Coast Cafe and beyond that, down the main road to the north, is Frank's Nice n Easy jerk place. Marblue offers meals for guests with prior arrangement. We did a boat trip with Captain Dennis to the Black River and Pelican bar, which was fantastic. Message him though Facebook, and reserve early because he books up. Jack Sprat's is a great place to spend time, with good, reasonable food, drinks, and a small beach. Frenchman's beach has Eggy's restaurant, a great place for garlic lobster and sunsets. The main pool at Marblue is decent sized, lovely, clean and has a view of the ocean through palm trees. It rarely had anyone else using while we were staying. There are many options for lounging at Marblue with a view of the ocean, both in the rooms, verandas, and on the pool terrace, plus hammocks between the palms. Bugs were minimal because of the wind and fans, but we did see some, and recommend bringing bug spray. Overall, Treasure Beach is fantastic, and Marblue is a great place to stay. We can't wait to return.

My husband and I spent a week at MarBlue in the pineapple suite in December. It was our third visit to MarBlue, and as wonderful as the previous two visits. The hosts, Axel and Andrea, are experienced, warm and welcoming, and spend every effort to make their guests’s stay relaxing. They are knowledgeable about all kinds of wonderful activities I n Treasure Beach and the area, and will make arrangements for drivers, boat pilots, etc.,And the setting and furnishings are lovely! Highly recommend.

During our first trip to Jamaica we spent our last 9 days in Treasure Beach. When we arrived at Marblue Villa Suites we were happily surprised about the beautiful place (only a few meters.. sorry: I mean seconds to the beach). Marblue is so peaceful, calm and with an amazing oceanfront. We watched a few sunsets and because there were mostly no clouds we enjoyed watching the stars afterwards. We booked the Pineapple Suite, which was really, really big and on our arrival day we were warmly welcomed by Andrea and Axel. Ijah and Gloria did a pretty good job, too: While Ijah was our chef and served us nicely local food, Gloria cleaned everything in-depth and has taken care of our rooms. Andrea and Axel suggested pretty cool tours (Black River Tour, Ys Falls, Pelican Bar, etc) and both have a very good knowledge about local places and events. Everything they suggested was a great experience. The location is within easy walking distance to many restaurants, bars and small convenience stores. As written I would recommand Marblue Villa Suites 100% to all my friends and all people who want to visit Treasure Beach/Jamaica. I'm not yet sure about when my next visit will be BUT when I will be in Jamaica again, I'll surely visit Marblue, Andrea and Axel again! Cheers

We stayed in the papaya suite with the private chill pool for six days. Was so wonderful to be so close to the ocean. We had many dinners in our private kitchenette. The pool was awesome and right in front of the ocean for the best views. Our villa was large and spacious and clean. The staff are wonderful especially Gloria and Matte. The owners Axel and Andrea were very accommodating and really wanted us to enjoy and have a great time. Looking forward to our next visit!
