Any hotel is at the end of the day just a bed and a roof above your head (brik and mortar) unless there is the human touch. And this is what makes this hotel special. I have never felt more at home than here and that was primarily thanks to Pilar (Riesco?). Pilar was extremely helpful and caring. She tailored her advice to everyone that asked it. It is thanks to her recommendation that I feel I had an authentic Buenos Aires experience. Argentina would never be the same without Pilar’s hospitality for me. Highly recommended!

Stayed in this beautiful hotel during my trip to Buenos Aires. The location is great - right in centre of Palermo next to all the shops and restaurants but on a quieter street so it’s not too noisy. Wish we had stayed longer there.The architecture of the building was wonderful - like an old villa and had a warm feel to it. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels but none compare to this one - such homely touches everywhere. Lots of candles and beautiful white and grey marble decor. The ceilings were high and there was a lot of light and little gardens in the hotel - truly the most beautiful hotel. The hotel also had a nice smell and there were inscents and candles. In the morning, we were offered breakfast - one dining table so you would sit with the other guests of the hotel on the same table. Sadly we sat in silence although I would have loved to have a conversation. There was a good choice of food and nice pastries to choose from and they also offered pancakes. Overall a beautiful hotel - highly recommend!

Let me start by saying I travel several times a year to BA. I always stay at Palermo neighborhood. I just love the area. After being in so many boutique hotels there I decided to give it a try to the Malabia House . I was very excited about staying in this place after reading about the location and thow it used to be a convent before it was turned into an hotel. I was turned off the moment I did the check in and was told my room did not have a bathroom inside . They said it has a private bathroom but it was across the hall. I told them I was not aware about that.They said that after you booked a room they send a note on your reservation that you got that room. I was shocked ! I did not see it! It never occurred to me that a 4 star place has rooms like that. I could see this happening in a hostel but not at an hotel! I requested to be move to another room with the restroom inside and was told that they had to look for the upcoming reservations. Later in the evening I was told by the front people they couldn’t understand why I was not given another room.They had some available when I arrived. Bottom line, it is a decent place,good location but BE AWARE OF THE FINE PRINT on your receipt when you place your reservation.

Lovely decor but the room I booked had no en-suite, private bathroom over the corridor, did not know this until I arrived, the hotel should make you aware of this. The girl on reception was one of the surliest, unfriendly people I have ever encountered and did not make me feel welcome in any way, This is my third and last stay here. I suggest the owners invest in some customer care training!!!
