“A little out of the way-take the bus!”
Take the bus that goes past the colosseum and out to the new via Apia. It's a bit of a trip but worth it. This is the Pope's church when he is acting as the Bishop of Rome and it is truly beautiful and interesting. Very Baroque and decorated. Not so many tourists as St. Peters but truly beautiful. … Plus

“A quaint B&B south east of the city. Good value and very comfortable”
Stayed in the green room, which is not the biggest there but was spotless and nicely furnished. Angela was very thoughtful (presented my wife with a birthday cake on our first night). The metro was not completed when we stayed in 2016 but will be now and is right outside. Walk to the centre is a go… Plus
