This hotel is clean and cheap. It is located near the train station and downtown. If you are like us, it will be perfect for you. It is a clean place to sleep while visiting Ningbo. It is a bit hard to find. You are better off walking across the street from the metro then getting a cab. Tip... if using Baidu maps, cross the street from the train station then find the directions. Baidu and Google don't realize there is a cross walk and will take you way out of your way.

The Orange Hotel chain is considered a mid-priced budget hotel chain in China. The hotel room has a stylish décor and modern layout, inducing a sense of home-stay. The colour orange (and blue to a lesser extend) features regularly in the hotel and the striking warm colour gives it a sense of uniqueness. The standard double room is clean and well maintained. The bathroom is thoughtfully designed with the limited space and the bed is comfortable. The hotel is looking to create the boutique mood and ambience at a reasonable price and I would say it has succeeded in doing this. The hotel location is both a blessing and a curse. It’s not far from both the railway station and city centre (a short ten minutes cab ride to both) and only a few minute walk to the inter-city coach station. However, the hotel entrance is tucked away and well hidden in a small alley behind the main road (even a local cab driver may have problem finding it so do look out for the big orange on the hotel exterior as seen in the photo), facing the exhaust fan of a kitchen of an eatery. It is the only negative I have for the hotel. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Orange Hotel and will consider the other franchise in the other cities.

I always love the Orange Hotel. Clean, stylish, and all rooms come with a fish to keep you company. I rank this hotel with high marks. Unfortunately the area for this location was poor. Multiple prostitutes were right on the corner of the ally leading to the hotel. While trying to get a late snack, two followed me until I said "No". In the morning it was tedious to get a taxi even though there was a taxi stand with a long line located in front of the block, I ended up being late for my meeting. I will stick with Orange Hotel, but next time in Ningbo I will choose their Huaishu Road location.

Very close to the train station, room is ok, there is sweet live fishto company our stay, the surrounding is bad, the hotel entrance is not facing the main street, take a while to find it, and the smell is bed outside, one of friends room toilet was out of use...
