“great food”

We recently had 3 meals at Les Deux Rivieres , all were amazing. The staff don't speak English but we managed to work out what the menu was.(good enough to go back for 3 meals!) Give it a try it's worth it!!

A bit off the beaten track— Speak French here! Lovely town with a city beach and swimming area on the river. Walk to grocery, bakery. Much natural beauty. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bed comfortable. Free city parking across the street. We slept with window open. There are church bells on the hour. I slept through them! We noted nearby train tracks -not a problem -only quiet and extremely infrequent two car passenger trains. Splendid coffee at breakfast. Exceptional restaurant for dinner - see separate review.

They were able to accommodate a lot of people and they were very amenable with the choice of menu and in addition to coming up with a specific menu they also catered for different dietry requirements. They were able to accommodate a lot of people and they were very amenable with the choice of menu and in addition to coming up with a specific menu they also catered for different dietry requirements. I couldn't describe it as beautiful but they managed to produce very tasty food for 30 people at a reasonable price with good service

“Laguepie is beautiful, restaurant is worth a visit”

Visited this restaurant on a very hot day in the summer. Far too hot to sit outside which is a shame as there was plenty of seating to watch the world go by. Visited this restaurant on a very hot day in the summer. Far too hot to sit outside which is a shame as there was plenty of seating to watch the world go by. We sat inside which was a bit dingy, but was cooler. We had the set lunch menu. At first the waitress was a bit off hand and not very attentive but once we started chatting to her the service improved. The chef must work very hard as it was very busy at lunchtime. He also altered the menu for two of our party which was much appreciated. Would love to go back another time when and sit outside next time.
