My 21 year old daughter stayed as a single female and upon check in was greeted by a very nice woman. When she got to the room she noticed that the deadbolt/latch was not very secure. She immediately returned to the front desk within 5minutes and tere was a guy that was a bit "gruff". He said that due to the metal doors all the rooms were like that. She still insisted on getting another room and he moved her. (Guys may not understand the security issues women are concerned about.) The next room was much better in terms of the doors but, the smoke detector was beeping. She pulled the batteries and all was good. Would stay here again for a no frills low cost stay.

“Kind of run down”

As others have stated, this motel is in a less than great neighborhood. You can feel it as you drive west towards the property, as modern strip malls are replaced by pawn shops and seedy looking take out places. This motel is a fit for the neighborhood. As others have stated, this motel is in a less than great neighborhood. You can feel it as you drive west towards the property, as modern strip malls are replaced by pawn shops and seedy looking take out places. This motel is a fit for the neighborhood. While basically clean, it has seen better days wtih worn carpeting over an uneven floor and dated furniture and appliances. The description of the breakfast and the lack of space in the office area to eat made me decide to not even bother with it. At check-in, the person ahead of me had to come back twice to switch rooms, one wasn't clean and the other had a do not disturb sign already on the door. I needed a cheap place to stay for one night and I got what I paid for. Would probably choose to stay someplace else the next time.
