We visited this hotel on the eve of the Three Kings parade which was a pleasant surprise and entertaining. The hotel is easy to find and has free parking. The rooms are huge and comfortable with a small kitchen and all you need. A very good breakfast is included in the price which is very reasonable. The service is impeccable and warm so I can recommend this hotel to anyone.

“One week In Alhaurín el Grande ”

We stayed at La Palmera for 7 nights. Arriving on a late flight, I’d emailed the hotel a couple of days before on how to gain access collect room keys etc for when we arrived. They provided a door code and the room key was left in the said location with room and floor number. The room was very spacious, clean and had crisp white bed linen, the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. A bottle of water was in the fridge and some tea and coffee sachets. Our balcony looked out onto the road with view of the hotel car park. Room maid came daily to keep things clean, towels changed several times. Alhaurín is a lively town and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony of an evening listening to the hustle and bustle of people going about their daily lives. There are bars and shops a plenty within a two minute walk, a little further walk into town you can find a Mercadona and so many bars and cafes you’ll be spoilt for choice. The breakfast was a surprising bonus. It was simple but very good quality. Breads, meats, cheeses, pate, jams, fruit, yoghurt and cereal. Really amazing with what we paid for our room. Staff are polite and chatty always smiling. The hotel is an excellent base if you are out and about each day. We will definitely return on our next visit to Alhaurín as it was perfect.

Had just 1 night whilst mountain biking, with Switchbacks, whose villa/rooms were full. Huge room on ground floor and being set back a little from main street it was pretty peaceful at night. Comfortable large bed, good check-in and excellent breakfast. Very reasonably priced. Town has a great, mainly Spanish, vibe.

“Terribly noisy room”

Booked a room for Christmas eve and requested a quiet room. We were given a 1st floor corner room overlooking the street and were kept awake most of the night by noisy revellers. A pity, as the hotel was very clean and well run.
