Went for lunch here after visit to Raglan Castle. Only 3 of us , and it seemed only us in hotel for lunch, which was a bit disconcerting. Nevertheless , we wandered around the lovely kitchen garden before going to reception , where we were warmly greeted and promptly shown our table , which overlooked the lovely little lake/pond . The food we all agreed was absolutely lovely , though small portions , we ended up very full and satisfied with the meal , which was just a little bit different and well executed . “Horribly Dated”

Really quite disappointing. The setting and the house itself (William and Mary) are quite wonderful, but on a recent stay we found the whole a bit derelict. Really quite disappointing. The setting and the house itself (William and Mary) are quite wonderful, but on a recent stay we found the whole a bit derelict. The decor was plain and quite dated; the gardens showed neglect (even in the walled gardens, which were supposedly recently restored); we even feared for the well-being of the chickens in the coop. Worst of all was the meal at dinner: It's incomprehensible how this could be Michelin recommended, but perhaps the chef has gone? On the night we were there, a noisy group partied in one of the sitting rooms until about 2.30am and no staff were to be found to contend with this. Until a new owner or new management comes in, we won't be back.

We stayed here while the Abergavenny food festival was on, the hotel is in an amazing setting and I can see why couple would choose to get married here. The hotel itself is very dated now, all the furniture and fittings are very dated. It's a bit like a throw back from the past with a few cobwebs … Más

We stayed here while the Abergavenny food festival was on, the hotel is in an amazing setting and I can see why couple would choose to get married here. The hotel itself is very dated now, all the furniture and fittings are very dated. It's a bit like a throw back from the past with a few cobwebs for reality. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the night porter Damian. Breakfast was very nice indeed even though I ordered scrambled eggs but my full breakfast came with a fried egg and we weren't even offered toast but despite all that the breakfast was definitely worth it.
