This hotel/B&B is very centrally located and is a short stroll from Puerta Del Sol, Tirso De Molina and Plaza Mayor. Our room was small but spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. The room was bright and cheerful, fully serviced each day and the reception staff were very hospitable. The room has tea/coffee facilities. We stayed in a room overlooking the main street an it was quiet- great noise insulation. One very minor negative is they could provide more towels - just one bath towel per person (no hand towels or bath floor towels) or alternatively provide a hairdryer. Other than that, I would recommend. Very reasonably priced, clean & welcoming accommodation.

5 mins away from plaza de sol and 20 mins from atocha station makes the place very central. You can get almost to every tourist attraction you want in the city by foot from there. 5 mins away from plaza de sol and 20 mins from atocha station makes the place very central. You can get almost to every tourist attraction you want in the city by foot from there. The rooms were perfectly clean and convenient yet a little bit narrow. The staff were very helpful and nice. The prices were more than reasonable. The only thing that should've been better is the showers that had problems almost all the time with the hot water. But for young tavelers who want a perfect budget hotel.. This is the place for you.

I have been to at least 5 different hostels in Madrid Centro and I could definitely say that this hostal was my favorite. I felt safe and confortable as a solo traveler. Everything was clean and the wifi was free which is a plus. The staff was very nice and helpful. It is indeed noisy at night, however I personally didn't find it problematic. Would recommend!

Great points - very convenient to the major sights incl Sol and Plaza Major. Spotlessly clean shared bathrooms. Room cleaned well each day. Reasonable sized room looking out into a central lightwell meaning no street noise. Little portable aircon unit in the room. Not so great - bathrooms at one end of corridor means people tramping by the room at all hours - and wooden floors were so rickety that a couple of times my bed shook when someone walked by! Thin walls - I guess in 24hour Madrid uninterrupted sleep is a bit much to expect.... Fellow inhabitants' unpleasant bathroom habits - why do people think it's OK to strew used loo paper on the floor?? Need more power points - had to unplug a lamp to plug in aircon or phone. Need hand soap in both bathrooms and hand towels too. Overall though, a decent base in central Madrid.
