Nokomai Valley Lodge is part of Nokomai Station, a large working high country sheep and cattle property, in Northern Southland an hour south of Queenstown. It gives you the opportunity to experience Station life yourself as well as take advantage of the great variety of activities available. We cater especially for visiting fly fishing anglers who come to fish our local Mataura river and the many rivers of Northern Southland. We also have excellent guides available There are tracks for mountain biking, and hiking.Nearby is a horse trekking business Rustic Rides, and Welcome Rock, Mountain bike trail. A farm famil tour of approx 2 hours shows an insight to our farming and way of life.You can take advantage of Nokomai Helicopters and plan a day excursion back-country fishing or visit Milford Sound or other destinations. Nokomai Valley has four separate cottages. These are one or two bedroom separate units, . All cottages are non-smoking. Cottage facilities include : Super king-size bed, or two king singles per room, Large sofa bed in lounge, Spacious living area with Sky TV, Kitchenette, bathroom with laundry facilities. Wifi available. The cottages are serviced daily. All meals available in our dining area. Picnic lunches are available.
