The LION hotel complex is located in the center of the ancient Russian city of Rostov the Great. The old two-story buildings where the complex is located have a rich and interesting history. They were built in 1781 by one of the most famous and notable merchants of the city, Ivan Khlebnikov and Nikolai Sorogin, who passed the trade craft from generation to generation. Each of the subsequent owners of the building tried to bring something different to the appearance of the architectural ensemble, but the main features of the monument still preserved and is an integral part of the historical center of Rostov the Great. The name of the hotel complex – "LYON" - was not chosen by chance. This is due to the fact that during the possession of one of the buildings by the merchant F. A. Gubacheva from 1913 to 1917 the second floor was occupied by the famous Rostov hotel "LION". In 1997, private entrepreneurs opened a hardware store, a coffee bar, photography Studio and a beauty salon, and December 12, 2006 opened the first 11 rooms. Restoring the historical appearance of the building, Sinitsyn entrepreneurs expand the range of services of the hotel complex and on December 25, 2010 opened a new restaurant, cafe-bar, dance floor, children's town "LIONIA" and a conference hall for 100 seats.
