The Seven Ponds Nature Center, offering 468 acres of deep glacial lakes, wetlands, fields and woodlands, along with bridges, boardwalks and scenic towers, is approximately 18 miles away. Built in 1901 by Navy Captain Richard Millen, this Queen Anne style home features a wrap-around front porch with a swing overlooking the grounds. Full, complimentary breakfasts are served each morning in the dining room, which includes an original built-in china cabinet containing a set of the innkeeper's grandmother's dishes. The inn's front and side parlors offer original hardwood floors, hand-crafted woodwork, an open staircase with stained-glass windows, two sets of pocket doors, an original cast iron fireplace and a bay window with a window seat. The Hudson Inn, B&B offers five guestrooms, two with private bathrooms. Select rooms feature two-person jetted tubs and ceramic-tiled showers. Beds are topped with pillowtop mattresses.
