When only total tranquillity will do, head to the Charoulla Villas - a group of six villas of which we offer three - yours will be allocated on arrival. These attractive homes are set in the thick of nature, surrounded by olive trees and bloom-filled gardens. They come with fantastic views of the countryside and nearby Polis, too, yet they’re far enough from the resort to be peaceful. In fact, you’ll probably want a car to get around – shops, restaurants and the beach are all a short drive away. But let’s face it, with such gorgeous surroundings, you probably won’t want to leave the complex much. When a bit of R&R is in order, pick a spot by the pool – each villa has got its own private one, surrounded by a spacious sun terrace. Inside, these two-storey villas are airy with plenty of space. Downstairs, you’ve got open-plan lounges and dining rooms, which are kitted out with home-from-home essentials like DVD players. Each villa has got a kitchen, a twin bedroom and a bathroom downstairs, too. Upstairs, meanwhile, you’ll find the master bedroom complete with a spacious balcony to help you make the most of the views, and another bathroom. Décor-wise, things are kept simple – think whitewashed walls and wooden furnishings. And because holidays are all about taking it easy, each villa has a twice-weekly maid service.
