“Amazing experience at Mission Hills Resort Haikou”

Spent 3 nights in the Spa Villa at Mission Hills Haikou for my birthday. Had an amazing experience there which included surprise birthday message in flower petals on the bed and a birthday cake delivered to us. The villa itself had a private outdoor hot spring hot tub and separate living room area. Transportation to the main hotel and pools is on-demand with a call to the hotel to send a private golf cart to pick us up. My 6-year old daughter loved the wave pool and also the main pool which had water slides and obstacles. There are also indoor pools and many many hot springs to visit on the resort property. Another highlight of the trip was the stellar service from the restaurant manager Eric Wang, who helped to personalize our dining experience there. The breakfast and dinner buffets were unforgettable because of him. Am recommending Mission Hills Haikou to all my friends and will definitely return for another holiday.

“Nice rooms but ... if you're not a golfer make sure to bring a good book”

The room is very comfortable but communication is a problem. Staff are very pleasant and try hard but their target audience is local Chinese or Hong Kong. The room is very comfortable but communication is a problem. Staff are very pleasant and try hard but their target audience is local Chinese or Hong Kong. China also doesn't allow google or social media on any internet - so if you need these be sure to arrange your own phone roaming. As a female on the golf course, the caddies were wonderful but Chinese men (other golfers) were very rude.

Stayed here with a group of friends for a long weekend golf vacation. The positive is that the golf is fantastic and staying onsite makes it easy in the morning. The negative is that it is very Chinese - not much English spoken here. The Japanese restaurant had a fantastic deal for 199 yuan all you can eat and drink but had not English menu. The Chinese restaurant had a similar issue and required finding a special menu then crossing out everything that wasn’t available. The lobby bar needed to find the designated English speaking staff member - so it was a trend each place we went. The room itself was OK - having stayed at the Renaissance and Ritz previously I can say I much prefer those hotels but this resort does its job if you are on a budget.
