We are very satisfied with the hotel and the staff. The hotel is highly recommended. You have photographers who serve you as best as they can and the prices are more than reasonable. 2 heated pools for children and 1 pool for adults. A large restaurant with a buffet and a dance floor with live music. According to me, the hotel is 6 stars.

“Gem of a hotel”

We have just arrived home from Hotel Gala. Excellent 👌. The staff were all wonderful. The reception staff were exceptional. Rooms were large and beds were really comfortable. Food was good plenty of choices. I asked for high floor and quiet room and got exactly what I expected. Pool area was super. Plenty of loungers at any time of day. Shower room was available on our last as we had late flight home. We traveled with Jet 2 and their pick up time was exactly on time. Apart from few days of cloudy weather,we had a great time.. Thanks so much all Gala hotel staff for your hospitality.

“spolit by terrible food”

Lovely clean hotel no rushing for sunbeds , lovely rooms . Only thing that would stop me returning was the food which was bad. Low quality , cold with very little choice which is a shame really as was otherwise perfect which is why the 4 star review.

First of all, yes we did have some issues & I am going to try & be fair and balanced in my review regardless of this. The location. Hotel gala is situated just above Veronica's strip, so Costa Adeje & Las Americas are a 15/20 mins walk away, in both directions and there is plenty to go and see. The hotel itself is very well situated for a lot of things. Only a 30 minutes to the airport. The pool & lounging area. The hotel has 2 healthy sized pools which are well maintained, with a large amount of sunbeds, set on 2 levels, this does get the sun for the day entirely & seems to cater well for the size of the hotel. There is a kids area but this wasn't something we utilised on the holiday. The rooms. The rooms overall were nice and comfortable, our first room was clean & well maintained (to a point, carry on reading, regarding the Aircon leaking). A lot of the rooms have lovely views of the sea & are not too noisy from the strip, which was great. There are no ironing facilities though, this is something to bare in mind as we had expected that there would be, which is our fault. Unfortunately though, this is where we had issues part way through our stay. One evening, in the middle of the night (midnight), the Aircon unit started to leak considerably through the roof of the room, which was over an electric box. From reading reviews when I have come home, this seems to be a known issue to the hotel. Initially at just gone midnight we were offered towels to fix the issue by reception, which a security guard brought up. As there is only 1 person on reception overnight, so reception cannot attend to anything away from reception themselves... However, this to me wasn't an acceptable resolution given the situation and the volume of water, due to the danger - the electric component & the volume of water - there was a genuine risk, given the placement of the electrical box, in my opinion. I rang again & asked to change rooms which they then obliged when requested (not offered) and changed us to a room, I believe this should have been offered straight away and not required for me to ask. The new room unfortunately was not fully clean, I can only assume this room is used as a "late check out room" and wasn't fully cleaned - as there were dirty towels, rubbish & the bedding smelt musty/unclean. We elected to sleep here though, given it was now 3am, 3 hours after the issue started. In the morning, we shared our concerns with reception once again with now more staff, who listened & did find us an alternative room that day & came to find us with a new key, to their credit they did "upgrade" us too. It is worth acknowledging that. The food. This can be very hit and miss. I found breakfast to be quite good and had plenty of pastries, bread, fresh meat & fruit, as well as a selection of hot foods. The dinners however, I felt were poor & not something I would advise you utilising. Conclusion. Overall, without the Aircon issue, the hotel is nice enough. However, I wouldn't stay here again, given the issues and the way it was dealt with overnight.
