“Great hotel, great location, great experience!”

Great hotel, the location is just perfect, you are literally almost part of the Dolmabache Palace yard :) the view of the Bosphorus is amazing.

Really impressed with the Shangri-La. It is the cheaper cousin of the Four Seasons for & Kempinski on the same stretch. While not cheap, it is less expensive, more intimate, closer to old town and the rooms are oriented towards the spectacular views. The service from the doorman, check in, room… Mai mult

Really impressed with the Shangri-La. It is the cheaper cousin of the Four Seasons for & Kempinski on the same stretch. While not cheap, it is less expensive, more intimate, closer to old town and the rooms are oriented towards the spectacular views. The service from the doorman, check in, room service, spa and fitness center could not have been better. Our room had a balcony facing the Bosphorus which was magical-- sunrises, blood moon, prayer call. The furnishings and appointments of the room are excellent. Not a bad thing to say about the Shangri-La.

Hotel was very nice, large and everything exudes luxury. Service was up to par with property. Room was large and had a side view of the bosphorus, of you plan to spend a lot of time in your room I would suggest a room with direct Bosphorus view. While we could enjoy the view from our room we were told that we could not take pictures as our room overlooked the president's office or something. (I thought the president worked in Ankara). There's a nice indoor pool, gym, and the included breakfasts and the afternoon teas we had were delicious. There's a lot of good choices in Istanbul, but this is a solid choice for the right price.

“Beautiful hotel, impeccable service”

What a beautiful property and the staff were wonderful. We spent 3 nights here after 2 nights in the old town and really enjoyed being in a more peaceful location by the water. We had a partial view of the Bosphorus, and the room was lovely. The restaurants were great and they had breakfast till 1p… Mai mult

What a beautiful property and the staff were wonderful. We spent 3 nights here after 2 nights in the old town and really enjoyed being in a more peaceful location by the water. We had a partial view of the Bosphorus, and the room was lovely. The restaurants were great and they had breakfast till 1pm on the weekend which was amazing if you wanted a relaxing stay. They had a lovely Easter themed afternoon tea too which was delicious. The pool and spa areas were lovely and quiet when we were there - we had the pool to ourselves which was a treat. And we could get the ferry from outside the hotel to the Old town which was perfect. It's also right next to Dolmabahce palace which is walkable, so make sure you don't miss visiting the palace as it is beautiful. We loved our stay and would happily return when we go back to Istanbul in the future.
