Stayed in an apartment in the Micheline Chalet next to the hotel, sking the first week in February. The Eggli gondola is ideally located less than a minute from the hotel making the ski area so accessible. Accommodation was spacious, well designed and spotlessly clean. There is a superb private spa in the basement. The hotel is family owned and expertly managed . Staff were extremely friendly and helpful . Ambiance in the hotel was pleasant and relaxed . This hotel is more four star than three. You can eat in the restaurant or pizzeria. Food was acceptable. You can walk into the village centre in 10 to 15 mins. Would strongly recommend the restaurant in the Post Hotel Rossli or the bar in the Olden, should you feel like splashing out a bit. This was my third visit to Arc en Ciel and hopefully will return soon.

“Love it. Think it's underrated in the sea of Gstaad hotels.”

Fabulous time. This hotel is underrated. The rooms are beautiful. I fell asleep with the trickling stream in the background. Rooms are incredibly nice/fit in with the location. They kept the spa open a little late for me so I could sauna.

We specifically chose this one as we wanted to experience the famed Swiss hospitality which unfortunately is found missing in commercially run hotels & yes we were not wrong in our selection ! The hotel is a family run property being managed by the Matti family. We specifically chose this one as we wanted to experience the famed Swiss hospitality which unfortunately is found missing in commercially run hotels & yes we were not wrong in our selection ! We reached the place a bit late around 9pm but the check in experience was warm & super smooth. It was taken care of personally by the owner, right from check in to the luggage delivery in our rooms. A warm & smooth check in experience always help. We had booked for suites which were large, clean & the bathroom equipped with a shower cubicle, which also acted as a steam & hamam (now this was something unique) & we enjoyed it every morning. The location is nice, a bit away from the road, to give you a nice & quite stay experience but just 12 min walk to the promenade & the railway station. The best part was the mesmerising view from our balcony. We used to spend hours sitting there & enjoying the swiss beauty. Overall a good staying experience 😊

Adorable cabin like rooms. Restaurant is good. 10 min walk to the ‘city center’ and 15-20 min walk to the train station. Awesome amenities for kids like a little racetrack. I made use of the ping pong table. If you’re into skiing/snowy activities this is the spot to be, because the lift is literally across the hotel. Rooms can be a little loud at night. All in all a great experience for the price. I’d stay here again.
