I stayed in the 6-7 person Le Pelvoux apartment at Plagne Centre. The apartment was spacious and clean and ideally located close to the main gondola going up into the centre of the Plagne ski area, which was brilliant!! This is not a noise apartment block, and there seemed to be alot of families there when we visited. So maybe not for a group of 20s - 30s on a apres skiing holiday!! The only problem which I had with it is that if you are arriving late (after 9pm) you may have a problem getting your keys, getting into the apartment complex and getting your sheets, however reception was very helpful and spoke some english, so maybe it would be okay, but i'd get there before reception closes if i were you!!

This is billed as a 4 star premium property but this is not quite the truth. The positives about this hotel is the location and size of the apartments. We stayed on the top floor in a four bedroom apartment which was large and the views from both sides of the apartment were excellent. You are on the slopes within minutes of leaving the your apartment and are close to all the shops and facilites of Plagne Centre. The apartments need a good refurbishment and could be cleaner. The cleanliness could be down to the fact that you have to clean the apartment before you leave, therefore the is little quality control of this process. We gave the rooms a quick wipe round and it was much better and left it in a better state for the next occupants. You need to make up your beds when you arrive and there was plenty of it. It was clean and arrived with towels in a plastic bag. We were on the top floor and had none of the problems with noise that others have had. The receptionist was very helpful when we arrived and we never needed to ask anything further during our stay. The hotel leaves out baskets for customers to place their sheets and towels at the end of their stay. We would stay again at the hotel due to its location to our ski school and the slopes. You should use Reflex Ski School if you want to progress. The rooms are adequate for the amount of time you stay in them and are some of the largest in the resort.

We stayed here with CRYSTAL SKI the last week in January this year. We stayed in apartment number 10 on the second floor. The fist thing we noticed was the foul smelling drains (we think!). The apartment was fine apart from that, or so we thought! No wifi! We didn't sleep a wink the first night because of the noise below us and to the side from the Luna bar. the constant banging of the shopping complex doors banging all night directly below us. Loud music and voices. Thought it was a Saturday night blip and stayed another night but it was exactly the same. I waited in the reception area for Julien to come into work on Monday. Asked him for another apartment but was told the place was full. Said we would move somewhere else, however the 'free' wifi had not worked since we got there, already reported, and we needed it to book another place. Julienne said that it would be sorted out that day. He then remembered that he had an apartment we could move into. We moved into 24 on the reception floor. However, he insisted that we clean our apartment before we move or they could do it for €70. We cleaned it. The second apartment was really nice and big. We went off for our days skiing only to return to shower later and to discover there was no hot water! Julien said he would get an engineer to call the next day. No shower after a day's skiing!!! No noise that night, slept well. After skiing the next day came back to shower. No hot water! Julien then said we could move to another apartment with hot water! So we moved again but this time said we were not prepared to clean the apartment. We were on our fourth day of our holiday! We had moved into 3 apartments! In this one we could get wifi and it was a great view from the windows and it was big. It had very steep wooden stairs with a lip at the top which we considered unsafe. We had to go up and down these stairs numerous times a day. The dishwasher did not work, the icebox door was missing on in the fridge. However, we were so stressed by this time that we decided to just enjoy the skiing and ignore everything else.

Le Pelvoux is in a great location with ski in and ski out facilities. The apartment we stayed in was spacious clean and functional. The resident staff were very polite and helpful. Our only complaint related to the bar below which on one evening (reps night off) had a live band playing until 1-30am in the morning. Due to the construction of the building we could literally hear every song with "Highway to hell" topping the bill (literally) On other nights we could hear the noise but there tended to be a curfew by about 10-00pm so not so bad. Our apartment was located on the 2nd floor. It might be different for apartments on higher floors.
