We live in Shanghai, so we are accustomed to the usual “complaints” associated with Chinese hotels, and they all hold true here: the beds are hard, even the “non-smoking” rooms smell like smoke, the front desk staff speak minimal English, etc. The hotel on the whole is very good, and we only spent one night because we had an overnight layover on the way to Laos. My only issues with the hotel were that the Air Con didn’t work properly, never cooling the room below 24; we arrived at 1am from the airport with a baby in tow, so we were hot and sticky, desperately wanting AC. My other minor quibble is that they charged us for two additional bottles of water, one of which was for the baby so I could make is bottle. It just seemed a bit cheap for a “luxury hotel” to ding us 30rmb for some extra water. Overall it was fine for an overnight, but the night was warmer and more humid than I had expected given the high ratings here.

A good quality hotel in terms of service. Location is not ideal though. Being relatively far away from the town centre. Room and hotel facilities are good. A good quality hotel in terms of service. Location is not ideal though. Being relatively far away from the town centre. Room and hotel facilities are good. Although requested a non smoking room, I was assigned a smoking room. The front office quickly gave me another room upon request. Restaurants ( coffee house and Chinese restaurant ) are good but not the Japanese Restaurant. Limited menu coupled with service staff not forthcoming with recommendations. Very good value high tea offered at the lounge. The hotel offers free airport/train station transfers. A plus point.

“Great hotel in downtown area”

Recently stayed at this hotel while in business trip in Nanning. The check in staff were very helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. The rooms were trendy, new and bed was very comfortable. The price as good and breakfast was included. Definitely a good value hotel.

“great hotel but a little bit out of town”

I got an executive suite. The room was great, so with the internet connections. Iron were available but strangely no hairdryer were available. I did not check the english proficiency of the staff, but perhaps it is quite very basic as elsewhere
