“Incredible, fantastic and amazing ”

Hard to use normal words when you are describing the hotel "La villa Blanche". Located in the mountain side with a panoramic view to Marseille. It's like walking into to an old Hollywood movie. By the way - rooms are cozy, breakfast delicious and service fantastic. To bad we only had one night

“Perfect Getaway With A View ”

Stayed for five nights in the Merlin room which was clean and beautifully decorated. Bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer, a jet bath, toiletries and towels. Room was cleaned on a daily basis. Stayed for five nights in the Merlin room which was clean and beautifully decorated. Bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer, a jet bath, toiletries and towels. Room was cleaned on a daily basis. The TV has many channels in French however with some programmes you can change the language to English. Wi fi didn't work however it wasn't a problem. The private terrace looks out onto the nearby village and surrounding hills. Room has a mini fridge with drinks(€2-€2.50),bottle opener and chocolates. It would of been nice to have tea/coffee facilities. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was served in the villa's living room, which consisted of bread, pain au chocolate, a selection of jams, a variety of cheeses, cured sausage, croissants, yoghurt and fruit, with freshly squeezed orange juice and tea/coffee. William and Mireielle were very welcoming. To get to the villa, from the airport catch a coach to Marseille- Saint Charles. Ticket costs €8. From St Charles Station get a metro 1 to La Rose. Single ticket cost €1.80. You can buy tickets for multiple voyages (journeys). From La Rose, get a No. 5 bus to Grottes Loubières. Single ticket costs €2. From the bus stop it is a 10-15 minute walk uphill. My sat nav on my phone took me to a derelict villa, much to my horror. Funnily enough, on the fence there is a sign for La Blanche. Some parts of the road are not well lit. I would recommend taking a walk through the nearby hills, visiting the Notre Dame de la guard and the shopping centre provides great refuge if the weather is poor. Didn't use the pool. Villa provides parking. Will recommend.

We spent a night at the Villa Blanc just outside Marseilles. We were unlucky with the weather but the host was quite a character and most welcoming, his English was good. We had a small room and what laughingly they called a terrace but it was two chairs behind a fence. However for a night it was fine and the bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast is on the terrace over looking the whole of Marseilles and surrounding countryside, the BEST view we have had. Breakfast was scrummy and at last the sun came out! Very difficult to find even with sat nav. and narrow lanes.
