“Comfort for a decent price and great staff”

I stayed at Apartamentos Living 55 three different times in Jan, February and March 2019. I think I had room 101 or maybe 102 or 103 (garden room). The beds are comfortable, with different types of pillows to choose from. The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated. The shower is hot with decent pressure. It’s really great to have a garden space (make sure you request a garden or balcony room) to be outside in. A little table for studying an eating. Make your own coffee or tea easily in the kitchenette. Above all, the staff were very very friendly and helpful. I really appreciated how safe and welcome they made me feel. I already gave the hotel some small suggestions for improvements, such as coat hooks in the room and a shelf in the bathroom. However, these are minor points. All in all, I highly recommend this place. It worked out about 30 British pounds per night and really is great value. Clean, comfortable and generally a nice environment.

“Extremely noisy: bad for light sleepers like me.”

I should have read the reviews before showing up. I didnt get any sleep the first night because of the extreme noise. There is no acoustic insulation. You can hear noise from the lobby, next room or practically any place near by. I had to leave after the first night. I dont recommend this p… Więcej

You can hear noise from the lobby, next room or practically any place near by. I had to leave after the first night. I dont recommend this place if you are a light sleeper.

“EXTREMELY NOISY”

I wish I had read more of the reviews and tips from other travelers before booking a room here. Our room was facing the street which was too loud for me to get much rest. I wish I had read more of the reviews and tips from other travelers before booking a room here. Our room was facing the street which was too loud for me to get much rest. The next morning I asked to change to quieter room but they were all booked so I ended up buying ear plugs from the Farmatodo just up the street which blocked all the noise on my second night. The hotel should provide these complimentary in the loud rooms. Other issues included bathroom door getting stuck upon opening and closing and make a loud noise in the process. Our bathroom sink faucet was loose and when I tried to tighten it myself, I found significant amounts of mold under the sink. The toilet seat doesn't fit the toilet very well and feels like it's about to break every time you sit on it. Speaking of the toilet, it was painfully slow at flushing and often required 2 rounds for a proper flush because it was so weak. There is a window between the bathroom and bedroom with a translucent film that is peeling off in the corners which was tacky and not great for bathroom privacy. The plates and utensils were dirty. There was literally crusted food on the forks. Lastly, there was a smoke detector chirping down the hall because it just needed a new battery..such an easy fix that nobody attended to during our 2-night stay.. If these issues are addressed, it would be a good value for the money but as of now, I wish I had a different room or stayed elsewhere. Some positives are that the bedroom was spacious; there was hot water, shampoo, and liquid soap in the shower; the hardwood floors did not creek; the WiFi was decent, the breakfast to the room was a nice touch and the little gardens in the hallways are cute.
