Great communication from the hotel along the way, messages are responded pretty much within an hour. Checking was fast and easy, just passed over passport and off to the room. Room was great, bed was so comfortable, one of those beds that made me wish I stayed longer just to sleep. Spacious room to open two large suitcases and walk around pretty much. Bathroom, had a one basin with high faucet not like most hotels. Shower and bath in one like a regular hotel. Elevator was something to love with an art feel all over

I wanted to like this hotel, but there were a number of issues, the main one being that the AC unit in our room was broken. It somewhat kept the room cool (thank goodness, because Buenos Aires was experiencing a major heat wave when we were there), but the unit continuously leaked water all over the floor. Because of the height the water was dropping from, it would splash all over the cords and the power outlet beside the bed, which had me a little concerned about electrical hazards. We had to keep a towel in the corner of the room below the unit, which we noticed housekeeping changed out each day. Every night, you could hear the water alternating between a slow drip and a more continuous stream. You could tell that the unit had been leaking for quite some time, because the drywall just under the unit looked to be soggy and like it had been repaired and repainted before. I also wouldn’t choose to stay on this side of Palermo again if I were to come back. The area definitely felt safe, but it also felt more residential and more removed from everything. This might be a good thing if you prioritize quiet over everything else! Most of the restaurants and nightlife are in Palermo Soho, which is about a 10-15 minute walk away, though parts of the walk felt a little deserted and dark at night. Another con about this hotel is that the breakfast spread was a little odd. The buffet was fairly large, but it seemed to be very heavy on pastries at the expense of everything else. Aside from the above issues, the hotel does feel cool and stylish. I loved the mix of modern and Art Deco design! The elevator is super fun, and the breakfast room is gorgeous. We stayed in a Double Room, and our room was a good size. It was bright and open, though the bathroom was painted in dark grey and as a result, very dark. It was nice to have a little balcony, even though it was really only big enough to stick our heads out of, and I always appreciate a room that provides a mini fridge.

The hotel is good and the staff are very friendly and helpful; however, I do not believe it meets the expectations of a 4-star hotel as per classified. Pros The location is very quiet, with no noise at night, and the rooms are comfortable and The hotel is well located, within walking distance of several restaurants in soho Cons However, the breakfast was disappointing. There was very little variety and almost the same items every day, mainly sweet and savoury croissants. I missed having a wider selection of fruit, usually there were only tomatoes or kiwi available. In addition, although there is a kettle and cups in the room, no complimentary tea, coffee or even bottled water is provided. The curtains don’t close so the all light comes through the room. There are also no streaming services such as Netflix available in the rooms. For the price charged, and the location plus the hotel rating star, these basic amenities should be included.

“Tired but comfortable”

This hotel was comfortable but the decor was tired. Breakfast was relaxed and reasonable. The cost was very good perhaps because of the building work going on nextdoor. We stayed for one night then the second a week later. They were happy to store our excess luggage for the week we were away
