I highly recommend Don Pepe, its close to the main avenue, has convenient store near by and its in very safe area. The room is great, clean and bad is very comfortable, the grounds are quiet for a very nice sleep after day filled of activities. They offer breakfast and its perfect and tasty, the coffee is great too. The stuff working there is simply amazing and very helpful and nice. I highly recommend this place for your visit to El Calafate.

“Great hotel for the price”

Clean hotel with decent sized rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast is mostly pastries and some fruit but is sufficient. The staff was very helpful and the location was just a short walk from all the restaurants and shops. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting El Calafate.

Don Pepe was my most favourite stay throughout my South America trip. Although the room was small in size, you'll managed. Don Pepe was my most favourite stay throughout my South America trip. Although the room was small in size, you'll managed. Stayed for 3 nites and the room was toasty till we had to leave the balcony door ajar. The bathroom even had a heater. So you'll be warm anywhere in the room. Wi-fi was patchy though, with the signal dropping at some points in the room. Breakfast (Bread, ham, cheese, juice, coffee/tea, yogurt and assortment of pastries) was simple but filling. Alejandro and Andrea, the owners, were perfect hosts. They made you feel very welcome and made sure we were well taken care of. We had booked a Perito Moreno Glacier tour and the pick up was delayed and without asking, Alejandro made a call to the agent to check on our behalf. I really appreciated this kind act and the many other gestures shown during our stay. Location was slightly off the center of town but still walkable (under 5 - 10 mins). El Calafate is a small town anyway. Airport transfers can be easily arranged with an email. I also hope they can place a small towel mat in the bathroom, as after a shower the flooring can get really wet. What a wonderful stay and more importantly, what wonderful hosts! Highly recommended!

We stayed 3 nights during our visit and this is a small hotel located very close to the main street. The room we stayed in was of good size and the breakfast was fine. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the older gentleman who helped us carry our suitcases to the second floor room. We had a room facing the street and the noise level was very high. This is the only reason I'm giving 4 stars rather than 5. I booked directly through the hotel website and they provided free transfer from the Airport to the hotel.
