If you want something between an apartment and a B and B, this is perfect. Large room with accompanying (locked) private bathroom. Small refrigerator in the kitchen for communal use. I actually ended up here by accident but was delighted. Unlike many B and Bs, you don't have to stand out in the cold waiting for someone to show up. The owner has worked out a system of checking in and out by oneself, though he is available by email and instance messages. Even though it turned out I had showed up unannounced, via the phone, I was given instructions. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I did not find the room too hot, but it is now a bit nippy here. Would gladly stay here again. The owner was very generous in helping me out when I was in a jam. Be warned: there are several b and bs on this same street with names remarkably the same!

Positive things: - The communication with Stefano was excellent. He is a nice and reliable person, who helps you immediately, if you have a question or need help. - Our room (with two separated beds) was nice and cozy. - The breakfast was sweet and you could make your tea and drink coffee (it was not the typical stronger Italian coffee, but it's okay to start the day with:-). - The cleaning team came every 3rd day and they changed the towels, took out the garbage, cleaned the bathroom and made your bed. The only thing they always forgot is to clean the floor (it is parquet), and after a few days it was not sooo coool walking barefoot in the room... My subjective opinion: This B&B is on the first floor in a house, which reminds me of the Eastern-European dirty, not renovated houses after the war (like in Hungary or in other East-Block countries)..., so don't be scared, just take the steps. It's advantage is: nobody's gonna break in to this place, because from the outside it's just a little bit fu...d-up...:-) The central station is really a 5-minutes-walk, which is awesome, but it also means, that you are close to a very busy street and the house is old, so your room will be very noisy. The best thing: - The center is just a 10-minute walk. - If you go left, and take the bus nr.6 or the nr.36, it will take you right to Miramare castle (which is the end-station) or you can just get off at the promenade and have a swim in the sea. - Beach-tip: if you'd like to have a sunbed and a clean toilet and a restaurant, where you can spend the whole day: BAGNO STICCO is your place! Take the bus nr.6 or nr.36 and get off two stations before the end-station (before Miramare castle), and there you go. The entrance (with sunbed) costs 12 EUR.

“A good choice”

Excellent bedroom, excellent bathroom. Perfect location, close to the railway and coach stations. Breakfast is very simple, but those with a sweet tooth will love it! Not a lot of healthy options there. I stayed for two nights and would stay again.
