We had a fabulous stay at La barbarie. Our poolside room was spacious, comfortable and immaculate. The hotel staff were wonderful, friendly, smiley, polite and efficient, they made our stay extra special. The restaurant (where we ate everyday) offered a great range of superb food and was great value for money. The hotel is a little remote, in as much as there were no pavements close by and it wasn't an easy walk to St Peter Port because of this but the bus stop was right outside the hotel. The pool was extremely well maintainex. It was wonderfully quiet so we had a very relaxing few days so highly recommend this hotel.

A little gem of a hotel. Every single member of staff was friendly, accommodating and cheerful - especially (big shout out to) Bella, Francel, Joshua, Reagan and Hannah in the restaurant. Our room (a 'pool room') was comfortable and spotlessly clean with the room being serviced every day. The manager introduced himself to us whilst we ate in the restaurant one evening (great food too by the way) and told us that the hotel was looking to make changes to improve, but apart from a little update of the rooms, it would be hard to see where it could improve. Ample parking, free wi-fi and a clean, inviting swimming pool were all welcome. Fresh, sealed (canned) water left in our room every day too. Good location (nowhere is far to go on Guensey) about 10-15 min drive to the airport or ferry terminal. Thank you all for a lovely stay, we highly recommend you.

We booked a 5 night stay here on the recommendation from a friend who stayed here a couple of years ago. The hotel is a short drive from the ariport or, as we did, from the ferry terminal. Easy to find and plenty of parking (which is free). Two things stood out for us, the friendliness of all the staff and the cleanliness of our room. The breakfast choices are great and the restaurant for dinner in the evening has a wide and varied menu. We ate in the rstaurant every evening during our stay and it was easy to pick a different meal every time. The quaity of the food was very good and the portion sizes were generous. If we ever return to Guernsey I would definitely stay at La Barberie again.

Having stayed at La Barbarie many times, it’s always a pleasure to feel so welcome and see familiar faces. Any organisation that can retain staff for so long is well managed and a good place to work as well as stay. Well done all and I look forward to my next visit.
