We have stayed here three times. Modern, clean hotel in a great location for the consulate. Rooms are spacious and bed comfortable. The free breakfast exceeds my expectations. Fresh authentic Mexican entrees served—not heat and serve food from a box. The cook should be proud of the food he serves. A few entrees change daily so you get to try different Mexican specialties. All staff were friendly and helpful. On one visit they gave us a free ride to the airport. On the last visit no one was available to drive us so we took an uber. The only negative for us was the pool. While it looks very enticing the water was too cold for us to swim.

The first thing you need to know is that currently the hotel is going through a renovation. So normally that’s not a big deal but here it severely impacted several things. First off, floor two is completely out of play. So it’s either first floor or you’re going up. This brings the elevator into play and this thing was a mess. It takes forever and the reason for that is it’s slow in the first place but it’s apparently been programmed to stop on every floor. You will undoubtedly wait at least five minutes for the elevator to come (and that’s when it’s working cause it finally went kaput the final day). Now, also because of the renovations they sort of have a haphazardly thrown together breakfast in a conference room in the morning that was so bad we elected to skip it on the second day. One table in the room with meeting chairs is all the room for people to eat, the choices were limited and not particularly great and a lack of salt or even salsa made it odd. On the plus side, we experienced nothing larger of a problem in the room than a little bit of a slow drain. The blackout curtains might have been some of the best I’ve had in a hotel. You are staying at this hotel for the location more than anything honestly.
