“A great base for B.A. stay”

This complex is rental apartments. They are very clean, affordable, in an excellent location for exploring Buenos Aires. The front desk people were great. Only one did not speak English. They were always willing to accommodate any request we had. It is safe and secure. I would definitely stay there again if I had the opportunity. One thing to note - we were on the 8th floor and upon checking in we were told the elevator only goes to the 7th floor. We didn't have a problem, but someone else may. I would advise the people who assign rooms to be sure the 8th floor is going to be ok for them. With that in mind, I would highly recommend Le Batiment. It was an excellent place to stay.

“Good option in nice neighborhood”

Le Bâtiment Let’s start with the good. Location is quite central. Bus stop in front. I didn’t take the subway so I can’t say how far it was. There were several groceries in the neighborhood including a mini Coto three blocks away and a huge one 5 blocks away. Also a Carrefour express and absolutely innumerable corner shops. The Venezuelan bakery across from the Coto was beyond excellent. Good prices, too. The apartment is well configured and equipped. I had the Estudio Deluxe which has room for 3. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with dinner ware. Including bottle opener! The bath was a bit tight but certainly useable. The apartment was in good condition and well kept up. There is a hot water heater in the kitchen so no problems there. I had a large terasse in front. There was a little traffic noise during the day but that disappeared at night. No problem sleeping at all. The area was uniformly safe. I came back from an asado at 11:30PM and walked the 10 blocks. People were still out strolling, walking their dogs and some kioskos were open 24/7. The personal were very friendly and helpful. Juan got me set up upon my arrival. You get a reader card for building/room entrance. Don’t lose it! Now for the not so good. Nobody there speaks any English. My school Spanish and a translator app did seem to get the job done, so that worked out. They are not staffed 24 hours a day. Not close. On Sunday they closed the desk at around 4PM. Someone comes back if they are expecting arrivals. Which brings us to the magnetic card to get in. I lost mine during a tour and couldn’t get in. I ended up calling the number on the reservation and it turned out there was someone in the office, they just weren’t reacting to the buzzer. The elevator was inoperative on and off for two days. It only goes up to floor 7. There are two above that. I ended up hiking up 7 flights of stars twice. I’m in pretty good shape so I survived. If you had mobility problems you’d still be in the lobby. So, all in all it was a good choice and despite the glitches I would stay again. The apartment option for the 8 days in was in Buenos Aires was a much better choice than a hotel.

“Excellent place to base in BA”

Quite a local feel to the area. Bus to downtown just outside the street. Supermarket and many food options nearby. Room is very good with nice equipped kitchen. Not had much interaction with staff but all there was no complaints.

Bathroom was rather small; beds were ok it is not as central as what we would have expected it. however registration and departure are fast but seems not all employees work sameway we had to submit… Plus
