We almost had our entire trip to and around Naples planned for 2 weeks but had 3 nights left to plan in. On the basis of the reviews on Tripadvisor we decided to stay at La Camilla not knowing too much about the surroundings. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner with a nice treat and were shown our room, which was quite big and with a beautiful terrace! We immediately received information on all possible activities in the surroundings and made some good trips on the basis of their advice. The breakfast was huge, healthy and very fresh with local treats. We enjoyed every single minute being here and felt really relaxed. However as the place is a bit remote, we advice to come by car or bike. In addition the beds were a bit hard. Overall, if we would come here again or would know people that are going here we would 100% sure advice to stay here, you will not be disappointed thanks to the very welcoming owners!

“A Memorable Stay”

We stayed with Renato and Margherita for 3 wonderful nights at La Camilla. The location is away from town on a hilltop in the country above the wonderful city of Agropoli, and although initially, it was a bit difficult to find (make sure to follow instructions on website, not your GPS), once there it was easy to get back to. The location was glorious, with an amazing view of the sea and of the countryside surrounding the hotel. Renato and Margherita couldn't have been more charming. We arrived hot and tired after driving up from Sicily, went for a wonderful dip in the sparkling and well kept pool, where Renato provided us with beverages and fresh picked figs from the garden. Each morning he was there, providing a wonderful breakfast of fresh fruits and homemade baked items. Another guest asked for eggs, and he received a beautifully done plate with eggs, cheese and vegetables, garnished with fresh tomatoes from the garden! Renato provided us with reading materials, suggestions of tours, hikes, adventures and wine-tasting, and before long we felt that we were part of the family. I can't emphasize the service and peace we experienced there enough! Room was great, as was shower. They are also big on recycling and composting, which was impressive to us. One day, we came back with some cheese and bread and then went out for a bit. When we returned, there was a beautiful plate of fresh tomatoes and basil, with a note from Renato, "to go with your bread and cheese..." We loved our stay at La Camilla and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a respite from touring the cities.

“peace and quiet, stunning views”

Stayed here for 2nights. Excellent room, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped and our own terracewith stunning views and complete with table and chairs and even small clothes drying rack.. Made very welcome, use of pool, free wifi and safe parking. Free use of mountain bikes.. However... Plus

Stayed here for 2nights. Excellent room, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped and our own terracewith stunning views and complete with table and chairs and even small clothes drying rack.. Made very welcome, use of pool, free wifi and safe parking. Free use of mountain bikes.. However very hard to find even with sat nav. Breakfast was taken by the pool , superb, everything made freshly with home grown ingredients. Roberto the owner even cooked a delicious omlette accompanied by mozzarrella cheese and tomatoes as he realised that being english, we preferred savoury food. No on-site snack bar, although drinks available from a vending machine. Nearest restaurants and shops are in Agropoli, about 15 mins drive but longer coming back as we got lost! Agropoli has a nice beach, harbour and old town with terrific views of the sunset and plenty of restaurants, most of them closed from 2until 7pm, so prepare to eat late.

Small but very private! You stay with the owners, and they do everything you ask for! Renato is an excellent host and very good cooking! Marguerita (his wife) is so friendly! Fresh food and herbs from the garden! Good rooms and bathrooms! Amazing view! Its far from the center of Agropoli, so you will need a car! Good pool and spa with jacuzzi and sauna! Free parking and free WiFi! We will certainly return to Camila Camere!!
