“50 dollars a night for a 150 hotel”
Tripadvisor reviews landed me at this monteria Colombia gem but its even better than expected. Its downtown safe clean and your belongings are secure (I always lock my bags in any room) but its also friendly and inexpensive. You can book through expedia for a couple bucks more. “A nice, clean upscale hotel, well located and priced.”
I concur with others in the TA community who have chosen to try the Casa Real. The decor is a breath of fresh air and somewhat reminiscent of the Avia in Bogota. Rooms are well appointed and the AC needs are adequately handled by the wall units. Common areas are not conditioned which leads one to l… Plus

“the management is still great but....”
the use of trendy but cheap furnishings is starting to show. Shower fixtures are falling apart, cabinetry is in the same state. Maintenance workers are working all day, every day trying to keep up. Not my favorite in Monteria at this time.
