Just back from a fantastic stay at the Golden Port Salou . Can’t rate this hotel any higher . Wonderful warm and friendly staff. Beautiful food . Just back from a fantastic stay at the Golden Port Salou . Can’t rate this hotel any higher . Wonderful warm and friendly staff. Beautiful food . We stayed half board and the choice every night for dinner was excellent. A special mention to Tony in the dining room he made our mealtimes extra special with his welcome. Amelia who tidied our room each day. The nightly entertainment was great. The bedroom was nice and spacious and modern. The whole hotel is spotless . We have stayed in a lot of hotels in different parts of the world and this is up there with the top . Before we left we booked again for next year .

“Good Hotel”

This is a really good hotel. It is very well ran and has a good atmosphere. This is a really good hotel. It is very well ran and has a good atmosphere. The food the first few days of our holiday was some of the best hotel food we’d had but we noticed as the hotel got busier, the standard and variety slipped so we ate out. The rooms were lovely and clean and had loads of storage space. The cleaner came in every day. Although there’s a bin in the bathroom, one in the room would be a welcome addition. The majority of staff were really pleasant and good with the kids. However, on occasion at the pool bar, when we asked to purchase certain ice creams, a select few would say there was none left but then give them to the AI customers, try explaining that to a kid lol! The activities and kids disco were good and the nighttime acts were better than what we’d seen in other hotels. We’ll definitely be back but on a self catering or B&B basis.

Hotel is very clean, staff are all friendly, polite and courteous. There's a good variety of food served at breakfast. Good location and easily walkable to get down to the main bars, shops, restaurants and beach. It's only a very gentle 10 -15 minute walk. A downside is if you want to use the spa facilities such as the sauna and steam room or the gym. These have always been included in the price when we have booked other hotels advertised as spa hotels in the past. The various spa treatments you expect to pay for but not the basic spa facilities. It's an extra 10 euros each for 1 hr 15 minutes. By the end of a weeks holiday this can easily total an extra 140 euros or more. Had this been stated on the hotel website or jet2 adverts we would have booked a different hotel. There are other spa hotels which are easily comparable for a cheaper cost once the additional spa costs are added to the price of this one.
