“Clean, comfortable rooms, excellent service”

I stayed at the the George Inn, Barton on Humber in May 2026, the room I stayed in was large, clean and comfortable, it overlook the main road, traffic noise was noticeable but it did not detract from my stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating, the table service was excellent. Food was very go… lisää

I stayed at the the George Inn, Barton on Humber in May 2026, the room I stayed in was large, clean and comfortable, it overlook the main road, traffic noise was noticeable but it did not detract from my stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating, the table service was excellent. Food was very good; the full English breakfast was superb. There are a few customer parking spaces and some on-street parking nearby.

Stayed here overnight for the 2nd time - had also stayed last year. Nice pub with good real ales. Comfy room with street noise until about 10 15 pm, but quiet thereafter. Stayed here overnight for the 2nd time - had also stayed last year. Nice pub with good real ales. Comfy room with street noise until about 10 15 pm, but quiet thereafter. Dinner was 'OK', but service was very slow despite them only being moderately busy. Breakfast were good, though the portions of smoked haddock were meagre Good parking. I was impressed that they hadn't increased their room prices since last year - £75 for bed and breakfast for two is excellent value

“Food great but room needed a good clean”

We stayed in room 3. This is directly above the main bar and you can hear everything going on below. It was very noisy. Overall the room was very dusty everywhere. There were used coffee pods in the coffee machine. The cup had a coffee ring around the top. There was one packet of biscuits tha… lisää

We stayed in room 3. This is directly above the main bar and you can hear everything going on below. It was very noisy. Overall the room was very dusty everywhere. There were used coffee pods in the coffee machine. The cup had a coffee ring around the top. There was one packet of biscuits that were open and missing half a biscuit. The plastic toilet roll bag was on the shelf by the bathroom mirror and the toilet had been used and not flushed. The only toiletries were very basic just the shower gel and hand gel. The bathroom door could not be shut properly as it didn’t fit right. If we had know how noisy it was going to be we would have asked to be moved but it was all too late. Positives were that the staff were excellent. Really friendly. The food was very enjoyable. It was good to see a pub so busy as I know times are difficult for hospitality. The bed was very comfortable. The lunch pack up was very appreciated as we had an early start and were gone by 7:30. If you do stay you will be well fed but ask to stay at the quiet end if that’s what you prefer . Our friends were in room 6 and said it was so quiet in comparison.
