The rooms are spacious and for the most part clean. The bathrooms could use a little more cleaning, but they were decent enough. The complimentary breakfast is really good, as it includes fruit, yogurt, bread, pastries, cereal, and hot items such eggs, beans and, when we stayed there, pretty decent chilaquiles. Staff was helpful and polite. Would stay there again.

“Very nice hotel just across the border”

We drove from Austin, TX to a tiny village called Colotlan (state of Jalisco) for a family fiesta. We played it smart by leaving around noon and crossing the border before dark, getting all of our travel & auto permits, and then relaxing for a night before heading to Colotlan (a 10-hour drive). We drove from Austin, TX to a tiny village called Colotlan (state of Jalisco) for a family fiesta. We played it smart by leaving around noon and crossing the border before dark, getting all of our travel & auto permits, and then relaxing for a night before heading to Colotlan (a 10-hour drive). We are Choice Hotel members, and all pf their properties are neat and clean. Sometimes the cheaper accommodations need remodeling, but most of the time, they have just been remodeled. This Quality Inn was super clean and well-appointed. The bathroom looked a bit old, but was clean. They gave you a complimentary liter of bottled water ( you do not want to drink from the tap!). The continental breakfast was really a FEAST, unlike any of the "complete/hot" breakfasts you'll get in the USA. Two kinds of scrambled eggs, beans, and tortillas, juice, coffee (I got hot water for my herbal tea), etc. etc. All for $46/night (free with points)!
