As others have already said, this is a very clean hotel with well appointed, comfortable rooms. The hosts speak excellent English and are anxious that guests enjoy both the hotel, the little town of Arenas and the wider area to the full. For the price I really cannot criticise this little gem of a local hotel. I'll be back here for sure. If a view is important to you, state this on booking - we were in a top floor room with dormer/Velux style windows so we could not really see out.

“A lovely two night stay”

After a few nights camping we booked last minute to stay in this hotel as it was all that was available in Arenales. It was a little beyond the budget we wanted to spend but it was a fabulous stay. After a few nights camping we booked last minute to stay in this hotel as it was all that was available in Arenales. It was a little beyond the budget we wanted to spend but it was a fabulous stay. The staff were friendly and a special mention must be made of Albert, who checked us in at 20.45 and was full of good info about trails,bus tickets to trailheads, etc. We had a superior suite with fabulous views over the surrounding peaks, the room was clean, toiletries and white fluffy towels supplied. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We skipped breakfast the first day, it wasn't part of our package and we wanted to hit the trail early, however our second day we took it more leisurely and opted for the 9 euro pp buffet and it was a good spread. Breakfast in a local cafe will cost you 4 € for coffee and tomato tostada. There are several good restaurant option but you need to reserve in high season. Prices are mostly fair and decent portions for hungry hikers. I'm happy we decided to stay in Arenales over Poncebos, which has a lot less on offer.

“Spent 3 nights here would recommend it.”

We stayed here in a heatwave when the temperature reached 35c. We knew there was no AC here when we booked (like most of the hotels in the Picos region) so at night flung the windows open wide and slept well lying on top of the bedding. We stayed here in a heatwave when the temperature reached 35c. We knew there was no AC here when we booked (like most of the hotels in the Picos region) so at night flung the windows open wide and slept well lying on top of the bedding. Breakfast was good. en suite room oddly shaped on the corner. Other residents were a bit noisy on Saturday night but it only lasted a short time as they entered the hotel and went to their rooms after midnight. The receptionist and owner were very helpful and spoke good English which we found unusual for the Picos area. We were offered advice on walks but we had already done our research and had a guide book. Would stay here again if in area.

“Rest after the Cares Gorges ”

7 hours doing the Cares Gorges and after a quick look at TripAdvisor, we choose this Hotel! It was a good choice! A very good night sleep! The room was nice and clean. The service very friendly, and the breakfast good. The perfect place after a 7 hours hike.
