Just 150 m from the hotel is a marina and fishing harbour as well as a small shopping centre with bars and restaurants. A trip to the Ayamonte district, is a worthwhile experience, only 7 km away it may be easily reached using public transport. Faro International Airport is around 75 km away.

“Ultimate relaxing family holiday”

“Perfect for us!”
This has been such a fantastic holiday for our family. The location is excellent with direct access to the beach, which was beautiful and quiet. “Lovely hotel to relax”
Melia isla canela is a gorgeous large well decorated hotel, set over the bay to isla christina. The hotel is quite luxurious with lovely furniture and marble floors throughout.. a higher standard look with a mortician feel decor.. entertainment at night if you enjoy live singers. “Poor grilling experience”
We found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful, the facilities good, but some of the cooking was not up to par. Everything from the grill was always over cooked. Rare steak, chops etc were never seen and many selections too tough to eat. I had a steak that I could not cut let alone eat. A bette… lisää
