“A good hotel in a great location”

We had a great room overlooking the beach, and although it’s paid parking, at least it’s secure and under cover. Couple of negatives being the beds - not the quality we’d expect - and shower over a bath! Can’t imagine why anyone would want a bath, and it makes it difficult for low mobility people … lisää

Can’t imagine why anyone would want a bath, and it makes it difficult for low mobility people to get in and out. The buffet is fine for breakfast (although remember that the coffee machines use powdered milk 🤢) and dinner - plenty of choice for all tastes. Very close to Calpe beach, shops, restaurants and amenities. A great view from the top floor poll & bar although hard to get service!!

“We would certainly return!”

The location of the Bahia Calpe was ideal and we loved the view from our balcony. We were very impressed with our room which had an entrance foyer with table and chairs. The location of the Bahia Calpe was ideal and we loved the view from our balcony. We were very impressed with our room which had an entrance foyer with table and chairs. The bedroom was huge with a 6 foot bed which was very comfortable. There was plenty of space in the mirror-fronted wardrobes. The en-suite bathroom was also large with a powerful separate rain shower and a jacuzzi bath! Be sure to ask for one of the rooms at the end of the hotel! The balcony was small but fine for our needs and furnished with a table and chairs. Our only downside was the food. It was never warm, let alone hot. I can't comment on the quality because I can't stand lukewarm food. Consequently I would choose a salad, even at breakfast! There appeared to be plenty of choice. We thought the cost of the evening meal rather high, especially if you added a drink, and we found much cheaper good food at nearby restaurants. Having said this, we would definitely return to this hotel in the future as it was mostly good value.

Just ok. The breakfast hall was nothing short of dreadful. Too busy, too loud, unfriendly staff. Odd layout. Slow coffee machines. Awful omelettes - they use a ready made mixture. Just ok. The breakfast hall was nothing short of dreadful. Too busy, too loud, unfriendly staff. Odd layout. Slow coffee machines. Awful omelettes - they use a ready made mixture. Couldn’t finish it - gross cheese and ham! The room was fine but we had booked a sea view and got a standard room. The pool & bar at the top had a fantastic view but was ruined by playing reggaeton radio too loud all day. Really not good for the clientele. The pool on level 1 is odd and has no atmosphere at all. There’s a useless room next to it with sofas and a pool table. Very odd indeed. The bar on the ground floor is called ‘pure vibes’ ironic because there are none. The staff weren’t overly friendly and at no point did we feel looked after. The hotel is clean enough and the room was relatively comfortable. It’s close to the main beach which is good and we spent our days lounging on the beach with loungers you could hire for €15 each. Visiting the old town is best for food and we had a lovely time in Calpe despite a sub standard hotel. Finally though they do have a shower which you can use prior to going back to the airport - this lifted the review to a three
