This is a tiny resort built on a very steep mountainside, so there are a lot of steps. There are only 8 rooms, my family group booked 3. They are all very spacious and slightly different in their quirky Thai design with part of the bathrooms outside. They have enormous stone bathtubs, although it took a long time to fill and the water was only luke warm. This was quite fun until I had to take a shower during a storm and also whilst sitting naked on the toilet realized I could see people on a neighboring hotel rooftop clearly, which was disconcerting. I don’t believe the other rooms would have this issue, so don’t book number 3! The swimming pool is cute, but the sauna has been dead for a long time. I injured my foot on a rotted piece of wood on the walkway around the pool. This place looked like it was beautiful when first built, but could do with a good spring clean. The staff was pleasant enough, sheets and towels were clean and it does have a nice atmosphere. I found out the day we were leaving thet the resort will close for 10 months from April onwards for a refit. It would be worth a revisit once this is completed as a revamp is all it needs to be more comfortable.

“A cosy, no-frills stay”

We stayed at the resort for 6D5N in February 2014. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, as it is indeed under-maintained. On first impression, I loved it - only 9 isolated villas, very intimate and cosy. Quaint huts atop a hill, ours was 2 stories, with a detached outdoor bathroom and steps leading to the bedroom. Upon going in however, the sheets were a little stained, place generally not very clean. Lots of mozzies (we burned Lavender coils from the 7-11 nearby), there WILL be a variety of bugs and creepy crawlies in the outdoor shower, cats appearing inside your hut & screeching at night, something even fell on our roof hut while we were asleep. The bathtub was filthy, but we requested they clean it before using it. The room was basic, but had everything we needed - safe, fridge, working WIFI, mozzie net. We paid 1,375 Baht a night (incl. breakfast) - which was a very decent price. Staff were friendly. Location wise, it is about a 20-minute walk down to Ao Nang beach, or you can take a tuk-tuk if you're not feeling particularly active (40 baht). As the hotel is situated somewhat at the end, top part of the busy Ao Nang stretch. We rented a motorbike for a 2 days to drive to Krabi town night market, tiger temple, emerald pool & the hot springs. Overall I really enjoyed the rustic-ness & secluded huts and was not too fussed. Imagine just like living in a jungle hut but with hotel service. Very cosy and definitely worth it for the price. Would stay there again!

“you get what you pay”

i went to this hotel last year, the resort was still in progress of the refurbishing. basically, this is a beautiful resort, but the service is a bit poor. i love that they provide such a private small pool in for every bungalow. though i'm a bit surprise that the toilet in my bungalow had no door… lisää

i went to this hotel last year, the resort was still in progress of the refurbishing. basically, this is a beautiful resort, but the service is a bit poor. i love that they provide such a private small pool in for every bungalow. though i'm a bit surprise that the toilet in my bungalow had no door. it's quite disturbing if you come here not with your spouse. the place is still in walking distance to the central market in ao nang. also, for moeslems, this place is closed to the mosque so that you can still hear adzan. you can also find halal foods nearby. so, basically, the location is very good for me. I love the ambiance of the resort, so romantic at night. but since thailand is a tropical country, be careful of mosquitoes. never turn off your AC, and also, you need to close your room since the afternoon so that the mosquitoes won't get in.
