5days to cover these 3 places. Decided to stayed in Zhongshan Fuhua Hotel throughout 4 nights with morning departures by coach 1hr_1.5hrs rides each destination. If ever stayed in this Hotel go for Superior type more spacious & newer. The Standard by tour on 3rd_6th floor were old but still clean. Surprisingly despite its smoking floors there was no cigarette smell in the rooms. A plus here Breakfast is very good for an active day start.We are a sport group so it has all the energy food available. If reburbish it will be good as Fuhua is 5 mins walking distance to Shiqi Pedestrian Street. The Pagoda a mere 10 mins walk. The Revolving Bar on 17th floor has a beautiful view of Zhongshan at night. Will recommend if ever in Zhongshan

“Well you are in China”

Here on Business. Not much to choose from but this is my second time here. Clean room, reasonable price. Only 2 channels of English T.V. Easy check in. Good restaurants and shopping close by. Comfortable bed AC could be improved. Good luck on your visit.

Spent one Saturday night here as a walk-in guest RMB298 twin bed. The coach from Hong Kong (RMB240 return ticket) stops right at this hotel as the last stop, the same point for boarding when I returned to Hong Kong. I compared the prices with the hotels around and this is the second expensive among the four. The 5-star International Hotel nearby is the most expensive >RMB400 whle Ibis ~RMB100. Yes, it's very dated but the room inside is decent, clean, spacious and functional. There are 45 TV channels, 2-3 are English, 1 Japanese. Staff very courteous and helpful. Excellent location. It's facing the river and the famous walking/pedestrian avenue is just across the river. There are restaurants, shops, supermarkets on the streets or inside shopping malls. Or you can take a taxi for 15 mins to the most renowned restaurant in Zhongshan (in the northern area) for roasted pigeon. Overall, it's a good choice, though for me, Ibis is already good enough if travelling alone and for a short stay.

I would definitely seek out a different place next time. Although the lobby was nice and convenient to exchange currency, the room was gross. If there was a nicer part of the hotel, I didn't know about it. Bathtub was grungy and gross. After taking a shower, I drew the curtain so I wouldn't have to look at the tub. Luckily I was only there one night. Staff was friendly. Breakfast okay with boiled eggs and congee station. Good bacon. Wifi erratic, better luck with Ethernet. Room #448.
