“Great for families with young children”

Firstly to say I agree with a lot of what was said by previous reviewer louise_ca - hotel is looking a little run down in some areas and could use investment. We were AI & also found the food in the buffet pretty poor but saving grace was the pool bar a la carte for lunch which we really enjoyed. Drinks were overall very good, cocktails highly recommended! Many positives too though, never struggled to get sunbeds despite often not getting out to pool till after 11. Staff all very friendly and efficient, excellent animation team. Comfortable clean rooms. Very very good for families with young children - hotel is a paradise for under 7’s I would say, our 4 year old had the best time and as a result we all enjoyed our holiday.

We had a nice holiday at zafiro Menorca but as I read a lot of reviews it's only fair to give my view. Positives- The staff are brilliant - always pleasant and work very hard, in the restaurant plates are taken virtually immediately. The entertainment team are amazing with the kids. The location is nice, it is walking distance between 5 and 10mins to the marina and the local area round the hotel is clean and quiet. Food was varied a lot of different meat and fish each day. Negatives - a lot of the areas need some investment. The ladies toilets at the pool are down some steps, neither one has a working lock ? and they are tired looking. The white drainage grate around the pool is not safe in my eyes, I saw many people step on it and bits popped out ...if they didn't bother to push them back in that meant a hole someone could get their foot caught in and fall. The sunbeds - I would say 80% need replacing as they are old and worn and sag down so that the material is resting on the bar underneath. Lastly -there is no conditioner in the room. A hair and body wash combined is all that is provided. For the first time I decided not to take as we were packing light and I had to go to the shop opposite and purchase a bottle so make sure you take your own. You cannot fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff they were wonderful, but the zafiro brand definitely needs to look at investing in the property before long. I would recommend it for a holiday as we had a nice time.

We travelled with extended family and 3 generations,the hotel was ideal for our grandchildren, entertainment nightly and catered for all tastes.Food was very good,a variety of dishes available every day.We were all inclusive and the choice of wines and spirits was good.Our only downside was the sleeping accomodation . Our swim up pool room is promoted as a room for 4 but we were 3 adults and the pull out sofa bed was not really suitable for an adult, ( more suited to children) So sleeping comfort was limited. Swimming pools are fabulous, especially the Pirate Play Pool which was a real hit with our grandchildren.The beach is just a short walk away. Lovely for a quiet stroll, especially in the evening. Overall, I would recommend this hotel , especially for families

We just got back from a half-term holiday at Zafiro Menorca booked through Jet2Holidays end of May 2024. I was travelling with my daughter (7) and mother (with mobility issues). Overall the resort was excellent and I would be very happy to return again. There were a few things that could be improved, but this would in no way keep me from recommending this resort! The good stuff: The rooms were tidy and clean, the food was surprisingly pretty good for all inclusive/buffet, the pool bar restaurant at lunch was good, they cater to younger children brilliantly, they cater to disabled adults very well (main pool has ramp access), the playground adjacent to the main dining was a big hit with my daughter, the evening entertainment was great for younger kids and not boring for adults, not far from the beach (10 minute walk), people were friendly, not overly crowded, the kids club was good, the pools are good, the kitchenette was well equipped although we barely used it, the resort app is good and WiFi was mostly good. Could use improving: The main bed mattress was a bit too soft and had a noticeable valley, the pull out bed is a trundle which is great if you have a kid on it, but less good if you have an adult with mobility issues on it (we ended up putting the trundle mattress on top of the sofa it pulls out from- it worked okay), although the majority of the staff were friendly and helpful, one of the wait staff and one person on reception were not as helpful or friendly, when we arrived (late) we were not told that our stay included a free a la carte evening at the restaurant- luckily we found this out from another guest and made use of it, the kids club hours don't go through lunch and are a bit broken up in the day- so you couldn't pop your kid in to easily do an adult excursion, WiFi got turned off at midnight and not back on until 7 or 8 in the morning - why? I'd also suggest moving the main kid evening entertainment from 9pm to 8pm- it was a bit late for kids not used to staying up so late but my daughter didn't want to miss anything of course! I really liked the evening quiz, since I had to take my kid to bed, it would be great if you could win your prize even if you were playing from your room- I actually really loved that you could play the quiz from your room!! But hey, these are all very small things! Because really overall it was very good. The blow up bubble mountain provides endless entertainment for kids and adults. The resort is small enough that you can see your kid running around different areas and give them some freedom and autonomy. We were there a week and didn't get bored of the food, so that's saying something. Having the beach nearby was handy, and there's various excursions to be had on that side of Menorca.
