Stayed 10-17 May Staff at reception very friendly and efficient on arrival. Our room was block 4, furthest away room in the block but on the plus side there was no noise from others returning to their rooms. Pool bar is great if you are all inclusive, decent menu choice and staff there were great too. Always happy to serve you - makes a nice change from other places we’ve stayed. Restaurant staff were also friendly, the food was ok, standard buffet stuff but well cooked. This bit is really only relevant for coeliacs - We chose this hotel over Sol falco based on the reviews around gluten free availability for our little coeliac. They were happy to provide gluten free pizza and pasta - but only with tomato sauce in the restaurant. Otherwise the buffet is labelled with allergens which is great but tricky for coeliacs due to possible cross contamination. Luckily there is a chef each night cooking fresh meat nd fish so we were at least able to mix things up a bit. The pool bar also offers gluten free pizza pasta and sandwiches. The hotel app also mentions some gluten free baguettes muffins nd cookies but we were never offered these. Restaurant times in the evening were a bit early for us, closing at 8.45pm. But would definitely suit younger families. There was never a queue or any trouble getting served or a sunbed around the pool. Maybe just lucky at this time of year but there did seem to be plenty of staff. Oh and worth noting they ask for the tourist tax when you leave (rather than on arrival) so make sure to keep some euros Not related to the hotel but the Transfer with Jet2 took forever due to stops in different resorts and th return pick up is way too early for the home flight. Would defo book a private taxi if we returned. Overall a great week away in a nice hotel. Definitely a hotel suitable for families, especially younger families.

Had a very enjoyable family holiday in this well managed hotel. The staff at reception were very welcoming on arrival and we were soon checked in and directed to our rooms which they had allocated next to each other. The rooms are in several attractive blocks each overlooking a small pool and are two stories high. We were on the first floor and as there was no lift it was difficult for us carrying suitcases, buggies etc. up the stairs, also it was a problem each time we left and returned to the room. The room itself was very spacious, well appointed and in good decorative order. The super king size bed was very comfortable and the maids did a great job throughout the week of maintaining the room. We were in Block 2 which was very peaceful and quiet but just minutes from the main pool, bars and reception. Wi-fi in the room was excellent, TV did not have English channels but not a problem for us. The pool snack bar was great for lunch, very good choice and excellent food. Service from the staff was very efficient and friendly, very impressive. Same if you just went for drinks, never had to wait and always greeted with a smile. Main restaurant is very well appointed, once again lovely friendly staff and excellent choice of well prepared food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a good entertainment team mainly geared towards younger children and a kids club which my grandson loved. He also enjoyed the early evening show with Izzy, the hotel mascot. There is also a programme for adults, pistol shooting was good fun with Christian. Main pools are great with pirate ships, slides, lots to keep the kids entertained and all manned by lifeguards throughout the day. We were concerned about the loose tiles in several areas around the pool edge and some refurbishment is required. Evening entertainment in the outside area with the open stage was quite good and varied. We had a magician, ABBA tribute, Michael Jackson tribute, acrobats and best of all an amazing Disney night. Also as the play area for little ones was next to this entertainment area it was easy to keep an eye on them. Location is very good, big supermarket opposite, bus stop to Ciudadella outside, 5 mins. walk to the Lighthouse and 10-15 mins. to the Marina and beach. All in all a very good hotel, very family orientated, would definitely recommend!

We stayed here for a week (10-17th May) Set up is really great for toddlers. We took our 2.5 year old boy. We stayed in block 1 which was quiet and next to the pirate kids pool we couldn’t hear the entertainment at night. The room was spacious, clean. Sliding doors in the bedroom and blackout curtains made evenings easier as we put toddler to bed and could still relax on balcony and in living area. Travel cot on wheels and beside bed was perfect and our bed was really solid and comfy. Tiny weeny kitchen only really suitable for using the microwave and making tea coffee and toast. Fridge is handy too. We were self catering and quickly realised that we weren’t going to be able to cook much in there but we paid nightly for the buffet which was €50 inc wine and beer for the 3 of us per night so not too bad. The food was good- no queuing and always a large selection. The kids choice was well thought out for fussy eaters. Always something like pasta, nuggets, fish fingers and peas, pizza etc in the kids section. Pools were great- kids pool only knee high so even though it wasn’t that warm about 22c it was still warm enough for a splash about. There’s a bouncy castle and play park next to the entertainment so you can sit and have a drink and watch your kids burn off energy very easily. I think you’d struggle on bad weather days as there isn’t much near the resort apart from the marina which is restaurants and bars although there is a soft play called pirates on the marina in one of the restaurants! Beach was okay- pretty pricey for sun beds at €18 for the day. Not much around in terms of amenities again. All in all it was great for us as a family with small children. Staff were all really smiley and friendly. Didn’t really see much kids entertainment it was mainly on stage in the evening.Bit of music some games dancing. Our little one wasn’t interested though so can’t really comment too much on that. Transfer took a long time with jet 2 because of the drop offs if you can afford I’d get a private transfer if you have little ones as it adds a fair bit onto overall journey. 1.5 hours on way there. About an hour on way back. Overall we had a really nice time it was good for the price we paid with jet 2. £1200 for a week including flights, transfers etc. I’d go all inclusive or half board next time though 😄

We have just returned from a weeks stay at Zafiro. • The staff are a credit to this hotel - all really polite, hardworking and friendly. Probably the best staffed hotel I’ve stayed in • The pool bar is fantastic - the lunch menu to order from is lovely & all the drinks are high quality & decent, not like some cheap ones you get! • Everywhere is really clean, the hotel had only been opened a week but plenty of sunbed availability. • No queuing for food and drinks which was great but again, we were there the first week of May. • The animation team are fantastic, lots of energy and great fun. The park and slides next to the entertainment is ingenious & we spent every night here, the kids loved it. The reason this doesn’t get a 5* from me is: • The pool water is SO cold. Like ice cold. My little girl was very upset as she was desperate to swim and stay outside but she was shivering & her lips were blue. It’s such a shame - we could only go out for an hour a day. There is an indoor pool that’s heated but it was full, as lots of people felt the water outside was too cold. •Please also be aware, when I booked the holiday with Jet2, I had the option of hiring a cot, which I ticked no to. My almost 2 year old slept in the bed with me. When we arrived, a cot was in our room. We didn’t think anything of it and used it to block off the kitchen. When we checked out, the lady on reception tried to charge us €50 for a cot we didn’t ask for. In the end, we didn’t pay for this but the lady wasn’t happy about it at all, having a conversation in Spanish with another lady about it that made me feel a bit uncomfortable • If you have small children, be aware that the cooker facilities are at the perfect height for toddlers to turn and play with the dials in the hob, which is why we put the cot in the way to stop our toddler doing this. The locks on the inside only lock if anyone is trying to get in from the outside, meaning they are redundant with children who kept opening our door, which we had to block with a pushchair. We would return here but perhaps in slightly warmer weather as the children couldn’t enjoy the pool as much as we’d hoped. But we did have a really lovely stay!
